anyone notice that the brakes start to glow under hard braking (from like 150 ) ?

they then fade gradually for about 30 seconds until they finally turn back to normal

THey glow much brighter sometimes, I've seen my brake discs on my M3 glow like neon lights. Very nice detail that PD added, I don't know if any other game did this before?

What in the mother****er is your problem ? If you don't like what I posted, move the **** on. There is plenty of other threads.

Seems like there is that one asswipe on every goddamn thread.

It's awesome, it's been in GT since GT3? or was it in GT2?

Hahaha, nah, it is from the movie BRAINDEAD.... written and directed by Peter Jackson, yes, the director of Lord of the Rings... amazingly disgusting zombie movie which is intended to be a comedy. It's classic, definitely check it out. :dopey:

Here are some more I made to give an idea about the movie, unfortunately they are too large in file size to use them on here. :dopey: But Im sure some people don't mind. :scared:

Formula 1 '97 on PS1 had glowing disks.

In GT3 the effect was more intense. Too intense, in fact.

That's incredibly disgusting!

That is the point of the movie, someone asked so I described what it is. If I get a warning for it so be it, I still have one left... haha. :dopey: The movie is so over the top, it's funny.

Anyway to keep it on topic, I think it is hard to find the right moment to see the glowing brakes, I'd like to be able to move the camera during replays in GT5.

Grits
Yeah this was in GT3...But i don't know about GT2.
it wasn't in gt2. just tried it.

As far as the temperature, they get as hot as 1300* F on the front and around 800*F on the rear. I just read a article reporting that they got up to 1030*F after 6 stops from 60 mph on a Jetta.

Thats pretty damn hot, makes for good portable stove on the go.

Hmm...I'd better drive a black R-32 really fast, so they glow bright red, and race at night...against a Trueno......
