Enough guys you are ruining a good thread. This need to be discussed so I would appreciate it if you could stop the not needed comments.

Heh, pretty funny man.

Anyway, we are all getting off topic. Lets get back on it.

that was a lame line.

can't you see that 'hot chicks suck' is a play on words? you're all tools.

he'd like to, but his other "home" is down at the moment.

it's not just a GT forum in general, it's a PG13 forum. we can discuss a lot of things, but they have to make sense, and be within the acceptable policy of the place's owner (in this case Jordan) most vb/bb/ubb i've been to are that strict too.

Well played Sherlock.. I think that's only been said in nearly every post.

My point is that Jenifer Lopez in a bikini is not the same as porn. One is harmless, albeit inappropriate for GTP. The other is actually dangerous to GTP and even more stupid for that reason.

Can you "deduce" which is which?

yes, and neither is really necessary for a site like this. As I said before, GTP is a site for gaming not for displaying pictures of women with few articles of clothing. A picture of a chick in a bikini may not be quite considered porn but it is fairly close to it.
I dont know what your problem is, but an attitude like that won't get you far in life. Thats rather childish. it was a small joke , thats all.

Sorry M5; it could have been longer, but I was busy at work today... the point got made, though.
:smilewink

Umm... I have no problem per se . And I don't need you telling me about life

The real problem with it is that there are so many fine creatures in the real world that talking about celebrities becomes dull beyond belief. I have my own favourites of those people in public life as I'm sure everyone does. The thing is that my favourites are not necessarily the same as your favourites, and unless you want to have an educated, reasoned discussion about the socio-economic demographics involved regarding why I like someone and you like someone else, then it just becomes a war over who's got the best fantasy world.

And one thing that a lot of people have failed to realise is that a lot of women in this world (I assume this applies to men also), are so much more attractive in real life than in photographs, that it makes the medium of photography almost laughable. They say the camera never lies, well it never tells the whole truth, either.

Interaction is about so much more than drooling over a picture and then posting mindless slavering nonsense about how "this chick's so hot she ownzzz". ZZZ indeed, or should that be

I don't know why people do it anyway, because all that ever happens is some other user comes in and says "Ugh, she's a pig, you suck".

I never looked at the link in question that started this thread..

Maybe the person that posted the link is infact an admin of this so called site trying to get a hold of subscribers to send spam to..or should i say gullible ones to send spam to
Just like the ones you see spamming yahoo chatrooms ,messenger's etc

In my own experence i clicked on a PM in a chat room quite some time ago thinking it was from someone on my friends list ..And after that i was spammed for months through email ,messenger any means available to them

And the fact being when i checked the thread it was the person's 3rd post on these boards that's enough to arouse suspision so maybe im right just a thought

well said giles ..The real deal is way better than all that crap:D

I've got no problem with discussing relationships here. Like I said, this is a community of cool folks. But nobody here (not even Klos) is going to get into a relationship with J Lo or Jessica Alba or Elizabeth Hurley or... you name her. If any of the rest of us have ever heard of her, I guarantee you'll never even see her in person, let alone boff her.

So give it up. Get a life. Reasonably attractive females populate your three-dimensional world. Quit obsessing about two-dimensional ones and boring everybody else with it.

[Paragraph above not addressed to MildMatt personally.]

Yes, the porn thread posted on the GT3 board is the one that lit my fuse today, though 'hot chicks' have been a continual subtext throughout the Rumble Strip and a lot of annoying thread piracy everywhere else. Thanks for doing such a quick job of killing it, Alt-F8.

And thanks for your support, everybody who replied above!

I'm not disagreeing with you. I, like you, like fumbling around with funbags instead of looking at pictures on the net. However, I wouldn't say it was "obsessing" to give a RVDnut style comment. After all there is no harm in it. Yes, if yuo didn't venture out of your 4 walls, and formed a relationship with a jpeg, I'd worry too. However, if like me, N_D and the majority here, you prefer them live, I still can't see the problem with that kinda talk. I keep mumbling on at my ladyfriend how I'd like to Talena Atfield to a pottery course all the time, it's just harmless crap. Yeah, I may get ignored for a few days, but it's all good.

I didn't see the pron stuff though, so I can't really comment on the straw that broke the camels back, so to speak.

Hell, I'd worry if I stopped talking abuot women, any of 'em. I don't think I'm implying I'm having a 'relationship' with Talena Atfield when I say she's a babe. She is. I think it's wrong however to jump to the conclusion that I'm shagging my PC monitor instead of getting some real...well...y'know ;)

As with anything on a public forum, you don't have to click on the thread title.

So, I guess this isn't a good opportunity to start talking about Ms Berry in Die Another Day, then? ;)

One would hope for some..better...discussion instead of one of those lovely "you suck" comment. [cue someone telling me I suck ] ;)

I'm male. I'm as heterosexual as 90% of the people out there. I may be well into my late 30s but the thought of sex crosses my mind frequently even during stress or work times. I remember what it was like to be 15. I've actually had sex with a real live woman so I know exactly what I'm missing when I'm staring at the computer instead.

So what your trying to say is that, becuase some of us (like me) are 15 (turning 16 in 9 days), that we haven't had sex with a LIVE women before. Nice generalization even though its wrong.

Very nicely put Giles, and a different angle on it than anyone else so far. I agree. There are some famous women who I find above average on the attractiveness scale, but all I've ever seen and all I will ever see of them is a 2D representation. For that reason alone it's hard to get too excited about it. They are not real to me, just ideas, mental images. A very attractive, tangeable, and real Miss "not famous" is much more exciting. She's not on this monitor. She's in my living room. Think I'll go have a look... :P

It's true, you don't have to click on a thread title, and I don't. But that doesn't help in the case of thread piracy, which happens a lot more often than easily-ignored (assuming they are clearly titled) threads on the subject.

Most frequently, I'll be following a thread on an actual interesting subject, and halfway through it'll get jacked by a bunch of idiots drooling over somebody's avatar babe or the latest 'object of the week'. So, I either have to write off participation in that thread (and remember to ignore that particular title), or I have to check a dozen times when it says there is a new post, only to find the discussion is still centered around someone's breasts. It's really boring, incredibly annoying, and totally unnecessary on this site.

This issue is not at all about whether you like porn or not - I couldn't care less about people's tastes on that score. The issue is that there are hundreds of appropriate outlets for that material and those discussions, so don't bring them here where it's not appropriate.

Brandon found it necessary to write:

Your mother and I are very proud.
I'm sure everyone's very impressed that you're such a stud, but did this contribute to the discussion? Nope. Just more of what I'm talking about. Don't you have some homework to do?

Women who pose nude for porn are whores. That is just my opinion. :)

Well said by the way neon_duke. Very well said.

Personally, i believe any girl that has the chance to pose in Playboy isnt a whore. Playboy is a good mag, its not all about the actual sex and such of a regular smut-filled magazine, its more "exotic" i guess. Surely not all girls that pose nude are whores, but 90% can be considered so.

Anyway, that was way off topic and probably shouldnt have been discussed here, sorry.

Very well said Neon. :)

nothing pisses me off more than that. you're trying to find valuable information, and then one guy goes and talks about the hot women in the other's avatar... PM him if you really want to know!

How about nude models for Reniassance paintings. How about nude male models for Michelangelo's sculptures. Are they whores?

there's a difference. a woman (or a men for that matter) that poses nude for the beauty of it, to be captured on a painting or a sculpure, is a whole lot different than a women (or men) that poses for sexual purposes.
