*Many of these rules are derived from a previous post by "AngelCreator". Thanks for the help!

okay, so i finally set a time with an Audi A3 3.2 Quattro. Im not really happy about this time, cuz i know i can do better. 7'08,883. My doubts in both skill and vehicle handling limits is whats keeping me back from a better time.:ouch: So im not going to post the time on the main leaderboard yet (something i will set up once i have times from other people). So ill post again tomorrow with a better time, hopefully...if i can overcome the fear of leaving the track on certain turns. yet again, have fun with the time trial!!!

I'm glad I could help:), and this does sound fun so I will get to work
on some times. Be back soon:trouble:.

Sounds pretty cool. I'd give this a try, as anything gets exciting at The Ring. 💡

ok im doing it in the impreza STi . which IS a HAtchBAck

it IS a hatchback but its called a wagon ingame
so to be sure and to apease the population i will use something else

the slr is a hatchback isnt it.. but thaat has more that 400 PS :\

True, i will allow the Subaru Impreza WRX "Sports Wagon" STi. In real life the STi "wagon" is marketed and sold as a hatchback. So go ahead and use it. Also, the SLR is not a hatchback, lol, and it does have A LOT more HP than is allowed. have fun!

okh mad I can Use the WRX... w0000t
i was using the ford focus rally car :p

ok im using the 2001 impreza GG , 400 PS with 309 stock i think. just racing I/C and stage 2 HKS turbo, and soft racing tires,, (supersoft tires **** me.

Bah HAh First LAp out

06:59:212

now ill re setup the suspension and try to kill that untersteer.
but i dont know if its understeering, or if im simply asking too much of the car
i want to be able to take the corner after the fugplatz(sic) at around 250 or full throttle

FOrd escort Rally 386 PS, lowered, RSS tires , min downforce, stage 3 turbo,
06:53:835

That sort of changed the prospect of this challenge, with the inclusion of an Impreza Wagon Sti in the mix. Anyway, I'll run it up with the Motul Civic Si '87 Race Car and turn up a laptime. :sly:

By the way, is the Trueno considered as an hatchback? :p

Do you see this thing right here?
edit6xb.png

Yeah. its called the edit button, so if you dont want to get flamed, use it. Because quadurple posting is a big no-no. So next time just click the "edit" button insted of posting again, and again, and again, and again

umm opendriver19a.

and posts that arent even related to the topic are dumb
like why are you even in this thread, ,just to complain, but not add any info.. lol tard..

I think we need a list of all the hatchbacks for this to work.

As for the Subaru ... I'm sorry, but that's not a hot hatch; it's a bloody wagon. Should we also throw in all other wagons since we allowed this one?

Oh, ill be postin in this thred in a little bit, just to add a little sense to posting and not go post happy

well, first of all, nobody is posting the times as directed above! Second, sorry, but i will not allow the WRX, even tho its marketed as both a hatchback and a sports wagon, to compete in this time trial. However, save the times because i have another challenge at this same track for estates (wagons) only. So dont worry Surokia, ur work hasnt been pointless. Umm, ill post up a list of cars that are acceptable to be used so that there isnt anymore dispute about such topics...so, does anybody have any times i could post up to create a leaderboard???? :scared:

but you already said you would allow it... !@

okay, i posted some cars for now, but i gotta go to sleep, so ill finish the list later. until then, just keep asking if something is legal or wutnot, im out, peace

fine.. BMW M coupe if that isnt a hot hatch , nothing is

An M Coupe is definately not a hot hatch. It's a 'Coupe'; hence the name. Also, an Impreza Wagon is a wagon/estate and could not be described as a hot hatch in the true meaning. I think people are confused as to what a hot hatch actually is. So read this and you might understand it a bit better:

A 'hot hatch' is a performance derivative of a small hatchback car. Vehicles of this class are typically based on a budget, family orientated car, and equipped with improved suspension and a more powerful engine. Front mounted engines and front wheel drive is the most common layout, although more recently 4WD (in the case of the VW Golf R32 and Audi S3) and rear wheel drive (in the case of the BMW 1 series) have been used.

Some of the car's already mentioned as being allowed to use do not fit this criteria. For example i would suggest that the following have been incorrectly identified as hot hatches:

PT Cruiser - too big and not very hot
Citroën : C3 1.6 - not hot enough
Daihatsu : STORIA - not hot enough
Fiat : Panda Superi.e - not hot enough
Ford : Ka - definately not hot enough
Honda : City Turbo II, Today G - not hot enough
Lancia : Delta HF Integrale Rally car and Evolutione - too big and too hot
Mazda : Mazda 6 5-door - too big
Mini : Mini Cooper, Mini ONE - not hot enough
Nissan : Micra 12c, Be-1, Pao - definately not hot enough

If people think i'm out of order i'm sorry but I'm just trying to help.

Is the Mitsu Mirage Cyborg ZR allowed?

okay, let me know if i forgot something cuz i just did this hella quick without a cars list. also, if theres any other input, just let me know, and someone start giving me times to post, haha

Here are some times from me.

7:29:381/Audi A3 3.2 Quattro '03/AWD/398HP/358Ft.lb/S3/AngelCreator
7:35:839/Ford Focus RS '02/FWD/394HP/354Ft.lb/S3/AngelCreator
7:10:046/Clio Renault Sport V6 24V '00/RWD/398HP/333Ft.lb/S3/AngelCreator

I will get more times soon:).

thanks bro! will post now:tup:

I looked at your list, and it looks good:). The next car I will try will be the
Renault 5 Turbo. And how did you get a 7:08 with the A3?

constant testing. If you want a parts list and settings ill post 'em up. i dont have a problem with it. But what helped the most was constant practice to understand my weak points and constant tuning. *edit* im actually testing right now for a better time as we speak

I just looked at the rules and now I feel like a:dunce:, I thought only sport tires
where allowed. I guess I will try some of those times again:(.

just did the Nürburgring with a VW Golf R32 and i got 7'06.032; however, i know for sure i can do better than that. i found myself only practicing the beginning of the track, and not focusing on the 2nd half of it. So when i feel that i mastered the first half, i kept goin, and the rest was just crap on this lap. i kept braking too early, too hard too late, etc. but i managed to keep the car on the track at all times, and i have the replay to prove it. but yeah, i am capable of doin this track in at least 7'00.000 or so with this car. Just gotta try again tomorrow...im out, peace

The list of cars is looking much better. 👍 Had a little go and got this:

7'12.250/Honda Civic Type R (EP) '04/FWD/359HP/238Ft.lb/R5/ROB 256R

hey guys, i totally forgot to include the weight thing in the time posting, so just give me the weight of the cars that u posted so far
