No thanks I don't want or need to be near people who take an economy car and make it as fast as a stock car for twice the price and claim that their's is unique even though I just saw the same car with someone else as the owner who decided to blow 10K on stereo stuff that just "pumps" and "bounces" the car that they are in in combination with a DVD-PS2-Everything else system that blocks the air controls and vents while destracting anyone trying to drive the peice of crap which probably drives like a bike minus the tires cause it's "rolling" on "20s" while the car "rides" on the frame and the driver wonders why it's not fast nor rides good yet he still tries to race this car which ofcourse is an auto cause he can't drive a manuel yet he boasts about his "mad tight skills" which seem invisible or non-existant and even if he had skills the junker made to look like a nice junker that he's driving would hinder his skills, or lack there of, useless, and anyway with those "rims" he has racing would kill what's left of the once reliable car he's driving so he doesn't attemp yet he has the engine "hooked up" for no seeable reason cause all his car is good for now is watching a DVD on a micro screen in a parking lot and making noise to attract attension to this loser who has nothing better to do with his money and time.

I would go just to see some 3000GTs! Usually shows just have a bunch of rice, but there are cars that are well built and have a lot of time and money put into them.

there's a difference in owning a pink Eclipse full of stickers and a huge bodykit, and owning an Eclipse with about 500 whp, and performance stuff only.

what street meant to say is, why can't you make your car perform good and look good at the same time, that's what i did with my delsol when i had it and people still called me a ricer even though i kicked all their "unriced" cars asses.

Well, obvieously I don't hate imports, cause all cars in the world are imports.

I like imports, I just don't like imports that are screwed up. Can't people just be happy with thier cars stock? If they aren't, maybe it's time to buy a new car...

Power mods are ok to a cirtain extent. NOS isn't really a power mod cause it doesn't work all the time, only when you use it, and it harms the engine. I'm fine with people boaring and tuning the engine and ECU, but there's a point where you have to step back and see if the money and time spent was worth it and did you come out cheaper than an OE car and with more power and comfort.

Also, I'm not a fan of mods that void warrenties...

It's just that I like cars that run the way that they were built to run.

buy an used car! you shouldn't be modding a brand spanking new car anyway, unless you work for a magazine or something similar to that.

you simply can't have show and go. for every bit of "show" you put on your car, you lose some "go"...

What do you think we do Punk? In my parents 30 some-odd cars owned over the years, only 1 was new....partly new. An '80 Corrola bought as "old" stock in late '80...

All of our other cars have been used. Currently our newest car is 9 years old and the oldest is 16(older than me...when I was being made my dad's RX-7 was built and got the "best import" of 1986 award).

To rephrase what I said, I meant to say that I'm not a fan of stuff that makes it impossible for the car to be put back with the stock parts.

Yeah, my mom and I took an Eclipse spyder out for a drive..for the fun of it. Damn, that thing was fast. Awesome sound system too.
