Who is insulted? Just you? VW? Hot Rod community? I'm not insulted. I'm not even sure if a car can be insulting, unless it can talk and calls you a SOB.
 
I kinda dig the Mk1 Ratrod but it should get some flat paint/patina to help the look.

It's not "bored to a 402", it already was a 402. It's a 406 now.

That's unless it was an earlier 396 engine.

Yes, I believe it is. Whether it's road legal or not is another question.
Any sort of lump or bump may be a problem too :lol:.
