My son gets a new Hot Wheels almost every time we go to the store. Well a couple weeks ago I noticed he picked up a Sierra Cosworth, and I thought, “hmmm….I can make that in GT7.”

Well I did, and we’ve since gone through a lot of his hot wheels and I’ve made several of them. He loves being able to drive his cars in game.

I’ve had to make a lot of custom decals since hot wheels doesn’t always use real brands for their decals.

Anyway, I wanted to start a thread to share these, and for anyone else to share theirs.

If you post please include a reference picture of the toy car and a picture of your livery. It doesn’t have to be Hot Wheels exclusively, just any toy car.

Mustang Mach E 1400. Again. Used something close with the Gr.B Focus.

These are terrific. I just did the black and red cosworth for another member in the livery request thread. Did you hand draw the HWGRFX, I gave up on finding the font for it and cheesed out with a not close font. I did make the Ryu sticker though. I plan on doing it again in my own color scheme and updated branding.

I did make the HW GRFX decal. You should be able to find it by searching HotWheels.

Did you share the Ryu decal? I was going to make that one later today when I get back home.

I did not share it, it is not perfect by any means. I had trouble finding a straight on shot, but you are welcome to it. If you are willing to share the HWgrfx decal, I would love to use it to build the correct one that I need.

I actually did the Ryu logo and I have now uploaded 2 versions of the HW GRFX logos.
All are uploaded with “HotWheels” tags.

I get the best shots by taking pictures of the actual hot wheels with my phone zoomed in with good lighting. From there I’ll throw it into illustrator and redraw it or try to find a close enough font and make changes to it as needed.

Your second one is what I wanted to make, thanks.

Yeah I looked up the black and red Cosworth you were talking about and dropped the decal back in illustrator to do the text only.
I use simpler software but I was going reverse yours, but the one you added was perfect. Here is my version of the livery I made for @SKOALBANDIT

I got some more cars in my collection that I'm wanting to tackle. Some might be harder than others.

No doubt. Some of them look like they’ll be complicated. The Mach E 1400 one that I did on the Gr.B Focus was probably the most challenging one I’ve did so far as far as the Hot Wheels designs go.

There are no wheels in game that allow you to only change the rim color.
I'm sure there's one set where you can do this. I can't remember which brand it was, but one of the smaller library ones. I want to say KMC, but I'm not sure if that's the correct brand name...

These are awesome!

Was planning on doing the same and my start point would also be the Sierra Cosworth :D
Never gotten around to start on those liveries yet.

Keep 'em coming

I just went through all of the KMC wheels and none of them only changed the rim.
