I know that. I actually like the NASCAR road races, it's just that they're on so infrequently.
Nope. Never said i think it's "easy to overtake someone at 200 mph". You missed my point. My point is i think the cars themselves have no personality. They're all the same. The so-called "Camry" you mentioned is rear-drive for instance, yet the real-life car is front-drive. So was the Taurus when it raced. So was the Intrepid in its NASCAR days. 👎 Remove the sponsorship decals, and there's no way to tell a Camry from a Chevy from a Ford. They're so heavily regulated, they've become GeneriCars with absolutely no difference from one another. How dare they even try & compare these GeneriCars to the real-life versions. It makes absolutely no sense to me...that's why i prefer watching GT/Touring Car events.
I mean, i know NASCAR heavily regulates in the aim of safety and similarity (supposedly nobody has an advantage over anyone else) however for this reason, i find most NASCAR events extremely boring to watch.
Now....i do like watching some older Winston Cup/NASCAR events from the good old days. Matter of fact there was a "10 best NASCAR rivalries" show on Speed last week and i watched the entire thing. The whole time i'm going "there's a Pontiac!" "there's Petty's Dodge!" etc. because you can tell the difference between such cars...they actually resemble the real-life versions. 💡
See where i'm coming from?
