How and why do we receive Driving Marathon Gifts?

I just received a driving marathon gift again, how does this happen? Is it awarded after so many hours of logging in/racing time?

You get one once per day. It's given to you when you drive 27.6 miles or so.
When you get your credits after the race, it shows you your progress.

It's 26.2 miles (hence the marathon). And yes, you can only earn one per day.

Roulette Ticket = Yes.

Marathon Roulette Ticket is awarded once every 24 hours after driving 26.2 miles in game.

Joking aside, I'm in Canada so it's in km for me, I just copied 27.6 from the other person because I don't know what it is in miles...
