Why don't GT7 (Kazunori Yamauchi) add GT3 and GT4 cars?

Not sure a single, and already replaced GT3 will do that; it's more about the demands to keep the GT3 class constantly updated to the exclusion of other, more GT-like and less every-other-game-like things.

Personally I'd prefer a McLaren 720S GT3 anyway :D

From the recent real life Suzuka 1000 KM AND this past weekend's Battle On The Bricks:

And given the current participation of it in the World Endurance Championship, The European Le Mans Series, the Asian Le Mans Series, Super Taikyu and Super GT as well as the regional variants of Pirelli World Challenge as well as the NLS AND DTM, safe to say THAT is completely false.

Of the more than 40 GT3 cars in the game, only one is still used in real-world racing... Fantastic!

And to say that because other games exist, GT7 would get lost in the mix because of current cars? Completely ridiculous; they're completely different games, with different purposes.

It's not because they have current cars that you'll lose players; quite the opposite happens: you lose players because you don't have current cars. Because they have current cars, you can keep the old ones, since we have the McLaren F1 in GT3, and it works perfectly.

Those who enjoy playing GT3 and GT4 races usually watch real-world races and enjoy the current cars. It's sad to see all the games with current cars but GT7 doesn't.

Fortunately, yesterday we had the December update announced, and we'll be getting the Ferrari 296 GT3. Now we just have to wait for more current GT3 cars!

I think you misunderstood the point about getting lost in the crowd.

There is a limit to what any developer can do. It isn't possible for GT7 to include every car in the world, they have to prioritise. Ultimately, GT7 is not a GT3 sim. ACC and LMU are highly focused, they can dedicate everything to that focus. GT7 is much broader in scope and has established its own niche, whether you like it or not. If PD now dedicate all of their resources to building up the modern GT3 category and trying to compete more directly with ACC/LMU, they will lose that niche.

I'd love the game to have all the modern GT3 cars, but would I love that at the expense of everything else? No, not when we have other options focused on GT3.

Since we are on the topic of GT3/Gr.3 cars, here are some stats...

  • GT7 currently has 50 Gr.3 cars (which is around 9% of the whole car list, by the way);
  • Of those 50 Gr.3 cars, only 17 could be considered GT3 cars. That is without including both BMW M6s and not including the Mazda RX-VISION GT3 Concept;
  • From those 17 GT3s, only 4 are still used today. The AMG GT3 '20, Audi R8 LMS Evo '19*, Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 '18, and the Lexus RC F GT3 '17.

So, do we need more GT3/Gr.3 cars? Maybe. Personally, I would argue slightly against it, unless it was to replace the very outdated GT3s, like the Ferrari, the McLaren, the Aston Martin or BMW. Considering that almost 10% of the whole car list is just for Gr.3, i would say we have plenty already. Their usability is another problem altogether....

To put that percentage into perspective, if you take out the Racing variants of the dreaded VGTs, you get 44 cars. So you actually have more Gr.3 cars than the very much hated VGTs.

I would rather have more GT300s, than GT3s. Those cars are way more interesting, and way less represented than the same old GT3s every racing sim has nowadays. But that's just my 2 cents.

*Yes, the R8 we got is the Evo, not the Evo II. We technically only have 3 current GT3s but they are so similar it almost makes no difference.

So are these:

MY Main point was this was your completely unfounded claim:
If I'm not mistaken, the most recent real GT3 car from Gt7 is from 2020 and is no longer used in reality, that is, we have a driving simulation game (not so much), but it does not simulate the current categories and real cars at all
And that was proven false with the pictures as someone who does watch that racing in most of the series I follow (World Challenge, Super GT, WEC, ELMS, IMSA, Super Taikyu, Thailand Super Series and many more). For you to sit and say this game is "falling behind" other sims for simply not having an entire an entire up-to-date GT3 roster while ignoring that this game has a healthy amount of players AND still gets support is quite short sighted.

An up to date roster doesn't mean squat if you don't have a clue on what to do with it while everyone else does. Other wise going off what you say, Rennsport should be a huge hit...and yet, I so far don't see any indication that its about to be...

And it's still competitive:

No one would be happy if they added all the currently used GT3 cars anyway. GT7 currently only has about 10% of the circuits used in the various GT World Challenge series (ignoring the many other series that run GT3 cars for the sake of arguement). We'd end up with endless threads moaning about how PD is falling behind all the other racing games because they don't include Mandalika Street Circuit or Hampton Downs.
