Jordan chooses who he thinks is right for the job himself.

I doubt big cash bribes would work though. ;)
 
They go to a select elite school of moderators for a while, and then they graduate...:p
 
Jordan chooses those people to whom he wishes to entrust partial running of the site. It's his site, therefore his choice based on his criteria.

A reasonable idea of what it takes should be fairly obvious: a degree of maturity, rationality, intelligence and a willingness to help and assist both new and existing members. You also need to be balanced and impartial in the event of a dispute, and you need to be able to get along with the other moderators. We're a fairly close-knit team.

Very well put Giles. There are alot of people with those qualities though, who aren't moderators, so I guess the only way to get your name in Jordan's mind would be to act that way all the time (that way whenever he notices you he'll see you being mature). and that's not even a foolproof way. o well. I'll just say that Jordan made the right choices...

And what can this super criteria really be. Cuz i've been a heck of a while on gtp and hey never PM'd me for anything . So what is that criteria that we need to become Moderator or Super Moderator.

Giles has already put my criteria into words better than I could:

yeah well Jordan almost everyone on GTP here are mature and has a degree of intelligence .. Everone has that quality ... I find that criteria stupid but.. hey you made the rules.. Whateva...

I disagree.
There are a bunch of unmature people that have a low degree of inteligence. But they get delt with. Not everyone is worthy of being a Moderator or even a Super Moderator. Some people get power thirsty, for example: Sometimes when you make some one a moderator they get power greedy and they think there the best and they delete. Whatever they want.:)
 
Okay i understand you but hey let's take ma like example i am mature and have a degree of intelligence kinda good juste like you supra and we are still not moderator... BTW i got u on my msn ill talk to you later on msn

There is no need for more Moderators at the moment.
We have a bunch of great moderators who devote there time at GTPlanet.
When there is a need for more Moderators Jordan, will look for Intelligence,Maturity and all the other things he specified.;)
 
Nah i think that we always need some good moderator and i think Jordan is not choosing any.. Cuz i don't know why ..

There are a lot of great people here, yes, although I'm not sure I would include everyone. Since you find that criteria stupid, may I ask what criteria you think would be better suited to determine who helps run the site?
 
Since we are debating on this conversation 4 sure that Jordans is not gonna make us Moderator cuz we are immature.

Exactly. We have like 10,000 Member's who we could say are Intelligent and Mature. What would be the point of making 10,000 People Moderators? None.

About the Criteria. I think it depends on what kind of forums they are. Like GTPlanet has over 10,000 member's and making a bad member a Moderator can cause fighting and etc. Like when BMW///M3 A moderator, was about to leave I think and he deleted numerous threads. That kind of stuff, I'm sure Jordan doesn't like happening. I wasn't a member at that time. But I have looked at One of Jordan's threads about it.:)
 
well i am working on it and ill change the address after to a .com and ill try getting as much as users i can get...
