Thats what i thought. When you get to extreme level 23, buy a good american car. Race Indy over an over again. Its about 4 mins an 98k of credits an 4k of rep.

Don't do that. Complete the Nascar Special Event and you'll get a Nascar car :P Use that car for the race. Money well saved.

How do you use this birthday glitch anyway?

Unfortunately the servers are down.

I admit I am going to use the glitch even though I would rather not. But I am now so damn tired of grinding. I can't face more pointless hours repeating the same race just to get cars I need to advance.

I'm at 8kk+ credits without using this birthday glitch or any other exploit.

Just didn't buy many expensive cars and tuned only when necessary (for b-spec bob mostly) and never used restore rigidity or engine rebuilt.

But I have to say i haven't bought the Formula GT yet. I'm checking the used car dealer frequently but so far i had no luck :indiff:

Btw. does anybody know at which point the multimillionair trophy is unlocked?

I´ve mostly been grinding Indy in Like the Wind, but I´m getting kinda tired of racing the same oval track hundreds of laps

Now I´ve started to do the whole Dreamcar Championship over and over again. Not the same $/minute, but more variation. 3 laps Nürburgring in rain is a pain in the ass for me, though. I think I´m going to skip it from now on, since you still get around 700K total.

Btw. does anybody know at which point the multimillionair trophy is unlocked?

My guess is that it unlocks at 10M (just a guess, though).

Couple things...

1. I thought the birthday glitch was for getting one of the three 20 mil cars, not to get money or do I mix up ish right here? I'm confused.

2. 98k is the max you can get for a race? Crap, how are you supposed to spend 60 mil on three cars?

3. Somebody mentioned a 4th 20 mil car. What is it?

4. You can get one 20 mil car for lvl 17 price tag? WHAT...I got a 80hp Honda. :ouch:

1. You can probably glitch a car that has a sell price.

2. Grinding.

3. There are many old, expensive cars. I don´t have the exact price of them all, but here is a list (incomplete, I guess):
Chaparral 2D/2J, Jaguar XJ13, Ferrari P4 330, Ford Mark IV, Ford GT40, Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 and Lamborghini Miura.
All are above 10M at least. I think the Jaguar, the Ferrari and the both Ford cars are 20M. That makes it 4.

4. It´s probably very random. A Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car for a Lv.11 ticket is the best I´ve got. I got worse cars from the higher level tickets.

That's the route I took, win first 4 races and skip the last 45k ea race 228k series bonus, do it twice in an hour, slightly less than Indy route at 98k but a dam sight more fun.

Indy 9/10 x 98k per hour inc loading times
NASCAR 2 x 408k per hour

If it's xp ur after then hit the endurance race 260k xp for Indy 500 2h 20mins, quickest grind I rekon (XJ13 '66 reward)

Edit: don't forget bob, won Zonda R and Toyota 7 with him that cleared a few races. When I'm not racing bob is :-D

They are down again?

I got a Mark IV early this morning with the glitch.

I've heard the terms "farming" and "grinding" before but I never played games that required them. I'm assuming farming has to do with money and grinding has to do with experience? How is this entertaining? Do you guys/ girls honestly enjoy this process? I realize that in a small measure its rewarding to save up for something but to spend HOURS driving the same track? I don't even have patience to create a bunch of user profiles for the bday hack.

Maybe I haven't played the GT series in a while but you used to be able to buy the next car you needed based on previous winnings. I do enough "farming" for real money when I work. I'm too old for this virtual "farming" stuff. Reminds me of that old Simpsons episode where Bart and his friend were playing a game at the arcade called "virtual yard work". I'm guessing this sort of thing is part of a hardcore japanese gaming culture - I'm just a casual gamer. I realize this might be my dissenting opinion, it's not like they aren't selling millions of copies of this game.

/end rant

I don´t use the glitch since it destroys the game imo, I want to earn my cars.
(I have very much spare time, because I finished school, but haven´t found work yet).

I completely understand why people don´t want to spend days earning the cash or if they don´t have more than a few hours gaming per week. It´s your choice.

That´s how I feel.

Farming and grinding are largely the same thing, both typically have negative connotations of repeating the same thing over and over.

well said! ditto

If you are over level 11 and have a really good car, keep doing the Professional Series > Supercar Challenge > Daytona to get $17,300 every two and a half minutes for placing first.

If you are over level 17 and have a really good car, keep doing the Expert Series > Turbo Challenge > High Speed Ring to get $36,000 every three and a half minutes for placing first.

If you are over level 22 and have a really good car, keep doing the Extreme Series > European Championship > Rome Circuit (5 laps) to get $83,000 every five minutes for placing first.

If you are over level 22 and have a really good car, keep doing the European Championship > Deep Forest to get $83,000 every seven and a half minutes for placing first.

If you are over level 23 and have a really good car, keep doing the Extreme Series > American Championship > Super Speedway - Indy to get $98,000 every five minutes for placing first.

I hope this helps...

Farming is more a WoW term (world of Warcraft) when ur after a certain drop u re-run an instance or raid over and over in the hope u will get it.
The 'grind' is just that doing the same thing over and over to level up or make cash. The grind in GT5 isn't too bad tbh, there's plenty of things to do, it'll probably hit u when u need the FGT for the 2nd last event in extreme, u need a 5mil purse to buy the car.

I got the 67 Ferrari racecar with the glitch. Too bad I'm at a point in the game where that car won't help me at all. I need the 2D or 2J but I've done the 1970 glitch 2 days in a row and got a Celica the first day and a Honda Z Act the 2nd...

B-Spec/Extreme Series/Lvl. 24/Dream Car Championship (Car I used the Minolta 88C-V Race Car, which can be won in A-spec Like The Wind championship)

This is what I've started doing to Grind some Credits and XP- I will start the Dream Car Championship win the first three races in first place than retire from the championship. More times than not those first three wins are enough to win the Championship which gets you a nice fat bonus for winning but not only that the races in this series give you ALOT of XP. I'm also cycling the Used Lot this way to.

Dream Car Championship

Race min/sec Credits Experience
1 18:20 22,700CR 14,846XP
2 22:07 22,700CR 16,687XP
3 20:34 22,700CR 16,176XP
4 19:22 22,700CR 15,354XP
5 27:09 22,700CR 18,331XP

Finish first Bonus:206,000CR

The High speed ring for turbo race is SUPER anoying cause you only get 36,000 each race and it take slike 4 mins and it gives only like 1.7k exp, which is what i need.

I let my B-Spec driver do endurance races overnight while I'm sleeping.
That's to Level him up.
During the day {my PS is at my shop}
I'll let him do Dream Car Championship, over and over, all day.

Just for comparison's sake, I think Sebastian Vettel got something like $4M when he won the driver's championship this year? I think RBR as a team got what... $50M? It would be nice if the Formula GT championship paid out something like that.

Lol I'm very bad when it comes to saving

I'm lvl 16 A-Spec and 8 B-spec and I have 73 cars in my garage :P

I've never had above 500,000 at once

Most of the seriously rich people are using the birthday exploit, everyone else is grinding Indianapolis or something similar.

I was thinking the same, but for 5 million credits, you would need to race Indy about 70 times. That's insane, are people actually doing that?

Yes, I am. When you want a car badly enough, there is only one way to get it (most of the time).

I'm sick and friggin tired of grinding Indy for money. Finally got the formula gt today(with no money left over to body/engine rebuild) and gave up for now. I migh actually break down and start b-spec for money.

you cannot sell birthday cars so that isnt the reason the reason for these people being ritch.. i've won all the decent birthday cars and im lvl 30 Both A and B spec :)

You can sell some of the birthday cars. like the 1944 VW which sold for 74k each time you sold it. F40 sold for 100k+ but was harder to get.

You can be frugal, and yet still amass a nice garage. I've got over 130 cars now, and am just finishing up the last level 24 Mercedes special event. The special events earn some serious cash. With that, and maybe a 1/2 hour to an hour of American Indy / Laguna seca grinding, I'm at my 5 million mark, so I can start looking for FGT (which I've already seen once in the lot).

The key to making enough cash without a lot of grinding, is to buy the cheaper rare cars for your garage (the more expensive ones you can either win, or buy later), if you want to start a collection, and try to get silvers and golds on the special events. By the time you finish all the events, you should be at the right level, with the right amount of cash.
