So I really want a wheel, used to have a DFGT a couple years ago. Anyway, I have very little money but I could get the T80 within a couple months. LOVED my DFGT, and my lap times went down significantly. Does the T80 compare at all to the DFGT? Or is it simply not worth it? I understand it is not FFB, so I'm wondering about the feel of it. All I have heard so far is either 'it's good' or it's complete garbage. I'm not an elitist, but I also don't want to spend money on something that will not lower my lap times whatsoever. I really can't afford a different wheel right now, so please, don't suggest I just pay more. It is an impossibility right now. Thanks in advance!

OK thank you. I may have to wait for a few months and go for the 150. I was holding out a faint hope in the T80.

I've never used a T80, but I've used plenty of other bungee cord-based Thrustmaster wheels, and I would say it like this: ANY wheel is 1000% better than driving with a gamepad or joystick, but a 270-degree bungee cord wheel is only about 75% as good as a wheel with 900 degrees of rotation and force feedback, like the DFGT.

Thanks guys....probably won't be getting this wheel now. I debated getting a used DFGT, but if I do ever get a PS4, then it is no good to me. The T150 seems like something to work towards.

Hi Benny - one of the guys in my Sunday race series uses a T150 and he is very happy with it. Don't bother with non-force feedback wheels - either the rubber band breaks (they perish with time and use) and they end up in the trash or they gather dust in attics until they are given to charity shops. Much better to save for a T150 or other reputable FFB wheel.

Thanks @Sick Cylinder - I think I already knew that, but I needed to ask to be sure. Plus, the T150 is less than double the price if I shop around, so maybe in a few months I can get one. I've found some good plans for a diy racing rig on the cheap, so I'll have to work towards that in the meantime. Maybe I'll see you on the track again sometime!l

I bought a T80 after selling my G27. The only reason why I bought it was to see if I could use it while in college. I tested it once at home, put it back in the box and gave up on it. Don't buy it.
