How can GT5 not have the Nismo Skyline GT-R R34 (Z-Tune)?

I though the same thing, so I bought a silver R34 GT-R, fitted black rims and a few aero parts and tuned it to about 500hp. It's not quite the same but its pretty close

Isn't the idea of "the best" subjective? Which one is the best 911? Which one is the best Corvette? Which one is the best Mustang?

You'll get a different answer from a lot of different people each time, just be happy that you've got tons of Skylines to choose from. Unlike the fans of the other more iconic cars that also have decades of variants, but are not even close to being as well represented in the game.

The Z tune is a strange ommision. Why have so many Skylines but not the best one?
On the FXX posted above, i can see that being include in an update as an Enzo race mod (hopefully it'll say FXX instead of Enzo RM though).

Enzo RM would have to be called Maserati MC12.

It doesn´t suck but it is no where near as good as the skyline , funny thing is that in the description of the 350Z Z-tune (gt4 might not say in gt5) it says that the only Z-tune ever is the skyline because of the price of the parts it carries are too expensive so they decided to create their own Z-tune , so actually they created a fantasy Z-tune instead of making the real deal!1

I think that most skyline fans would agree in the Z-tune being the best of all
besides people can like different 911 etc .. but the best will be the ones that has a better performance overall , you might like one of the old ones but at the end of the day it will not be the best

I don´t think it is stupid , if everybody asks for the cars they want why he can´t ? I would happily swapp most of the skylines in the ucd for a premium skyline Z-tune , and on the skyline note I also want that hks skyline with the ugly multicolor paintjob (green , red , blue black) that had a 1000hp ? that car was in gt2 , why it isn´t here?

I've bought the R-Tune, an R32 S-Tune and am waiting for the 400R. The R-Tune is actually fantastic fun. Very squirrelly and loose. Much better than I remembered the 400R being in GT4.

The Z-Tune should be a premium upgrade down the line in DLC. It's strange to have four or five different versions of the bone-stock R34 GT-R and not the Z-Tune? I'd gladly trade all the N1s and M.N.Ps in the game just for that one...

For example, if you ask me which is the best M3, the answer will NOT be the current one.

I can name multiple 911s that anyone can argue to be the "best." The 911 RS, 959, 993 GT2, the 911 GT1, any of the GT3s...

Same goes for Corvettes, and Mustangs.

I agree on the latest is not the best as I would rather have a Z-tune than the latest gtr , or like in the evo for me the IX was better than the X.
My point was that it was the best from a performance viewpoint , The Z-tune can easily have the tittle of the skyline with the best performance to come out from nissan/nismo so why it isn´t on the game instead of any of the normal skylines ?

The standard R35 GT-R has already beaten some of the Z-Tune's lap records quite handily, and is only a smidge slower on Tsukuba. The Z-Tune is the best factory R34, thanks to a whole lot of JGTC bits, but the R35 has just about as much power, more torque, a better gearbox and a better AWD system. Probably won't beat a Z-Tune in a drag-race, but it'll manhandle it everywhere else.

And when you talk about the new V-Specs with the better brakes...

It's true though, the Z-tune is the best R34. And the best Corvette is the ZR-1, the best Porsche? That's a little harder to call. I would say Carrera GT followed by GT3 but it doesn't matter because we don't have any porsches

Edit: Oh and best Mustang, GT500KR. Of course I'm only talking about current models though (well, except for the Carrera GT)

Ignoring exclusivity? Yeah I would still take the Z, but I reckon a lot of people would chose the R35.

If you take into account the exlusivity I think I´ll have that one over any other car in the world
