To choose the time of the day yourself, you either have to go online and make a public room with the disired track - which will allow you to change the time and how fast it is progressing. The other option is to press the Community tap at My Home and create a personal Lounge by pressing the coffee cup (under your profile, not your friends). This will give you the same options as when making an online room.

EDIT: and you can only change time of day, on the tracks which have day/night transition..

It may have gone unnoticed, but the ring that early in the morning, is one of the great GT5 wow moments. PD have done a superb job of capturing the essense of early morning and distilling it into digital form. Watch your breaking distances though, they are longer at that time of day! 👍

I am currently camped out at the Ring doing the AMG Academy and then attempting the GTR-07 trophy so I will add an early breakfast to my to-do list before leaving.

I haven't experienced it in the game yet but can confirm in real life that the ring first thing in the morning is awesome.

Theres always a bit of mist around and the place is very quiet apart from the occasional howl from the track from the earlybirds getting down there for it opening.
