i bought the yellow corvette (cost=$52000 year=2000) and fully upgraded it.

What settings should I adjust (and to what levels) to maximize cornering .i dont care about acceleration and speed cuz it has 768hp and is insanely fast already.

oh yeah, i am using medium-soft tires with it (ive tried using super-soft but to no avail)

suggestions to cars with good cornering (around 50 to 150 thousand) would also be appreciated.

Try the GT3 tuners vault there's quite a few setups there. But like most places there's some good and some bad,it's all down to your style of driving.

As for cars with good cornering....well avoid FF cars like the plague,i haven't found 1 yet that likes going around corners.MR's are about the best for cornering IMHO.Lighter cars tend to be better at cornering (there are exceptions to the rule) but usually come at the expense of less HP,a great car to win is the Toyota GT ONE road car which you can win at the Amateur League - GT World Championship.Out of the cars i've bought (not very many) the Motorsport Elise had just about the best cornering ability but it needs to be tuned well.Another car i bought was the Renault Clio sport race car but it's insanely expensive at 300,000 credits and not really worth it unless you're a fan of the car, great fun to drive though.

The TVR Tuscan Speed Six is beautifully balanced straight from the box - 80,000cr. :)

I didn't like the Speed Six. it seemed a lil slugish and it burned tires much quicker then other cars. plus i can't stand those headlghts  uuugggglly

Oh i forgot to mention a car worth buying. heh. you might wanna check out the Lotus esprit. i'd suggest before buying your new car, make a savegame right before you go to purchase and then after you buy the car, if you don't like it, just load your savegame. this way you can pretty much find exactly wut your looking for.

The GT-ONE Road Car is a great car but what got me through a good chunk of the game was the vertigo race car. That car was great. It pulled through corners like an MR.

How can you think the Speed 6's headlights are ugly??? That car looks awesome, I love the paint! But it is no good in races due to it's crappy tire wear.

Buy a Fully Customize LSD and change it to 5~25~5 put TCS to 3 and ASM to 1 and you should do fine.

you can try adjusting the spring rate to higher and then put the downforce higher and the ride height lower but not to low if there is alot of bumps in the track.

The Vertigo Race Car has good cornering ability but watch out when its fully tuned, it spun out a lot on me when I was making sharp turns. This car also has good speed but a little slow acceleration for the 1st shift but it gets way faster in the 2nd and 3rd. I got this car to go up to 200 mph.

i agree with everything you just said :)

So far, I've managed to make everything corner well. Of course, I also tune them to the extreme to do 1 of 2 things, grip like death, or power slide like a biotch. Small cars handle well typically, and one I enjoyed was the basic Miata. But my main, high end race car has been the Benz CLK touring car. I lowered it, stiffened springs, adjusted camber, toe in, LSD, etc. Played with it till I found a setup I liked. Right now it grips like death at high speeds, but when in 2nd and 3rd gears, can powerslide nicely. Of course, 850 odd horsepower is also nice. Fun car. All the cars I own get the full customize suspension though. The thing is, tweak the car to fit your play. My brother hates the power sliders, and can't manage them. Myself, I can get anything to work well for me.
