Oh, I believe it was that one weirdnight, when I was on google, just searching things up. then somehow I accidently clicked a link that lead to this place, and the rest is history.

I used to post/leurk on another GT site, can't remember what it was called now (GranTurismoX ?) but whilst trying to gather info on when GT4 was to be released i was pointed in this direction - now i 'waste' all my time here :(

Googled it. I was looking for some info on prize cars for GT3, which I had just gotten. I stopped in the Settings Forum to see if there were any gearheads; had some nice chats and ended up writting the sticky at the top because no else seemed to have gotten around to it.

I was another wasteland wander searching for a home in a Sport Compact Car Magizine. . . So yeah I am one of those "People". Speaking of which where are the rest of the SCC fans here. . . I haven't seen Boom in a longtime. . .

Jeff (ND4SPD) told me about it...like, back in the end of grade 8. I joined 2 years later.

Someone threw a brick into the front window of my house, with the words "Gee, Tea...Plan-It?" scrawled on it. Once I noticed it was a genuine U.S. Foundry Brick, I knew this site was the real deal.

You lie sir by the skin of your teeth, because that brick I threw said Ge-T-Plum-it : )

Yeah that is what I have been hearing. . . it has been since last May since I really have been on this site, it is nice to be around a computer again and have a chance to post. Oh, I am back in school now and wrenching cars everyday now. . . Once I finish up here I hope to be back in Florida working at BMW : ) I think ///M gave me the German Fanboy sickness. . .

I was looking up prize car lists. I wanted to see which races to run to get which cars. Then I used gtplanet to ask GT3 related questions.

Eventually I stumbled on the opinions forum (by posting something in the wrong forum). Enough time went by that I mastered GT3 :) and I started playing a lot less. So now I pretty much just stick in the off-topic part of this site.

ign message boards. I hate those boards, but it has everything in it. I typically use that site to find sites like these through signatures and links "Hey check out this GT4 info at GTPlanet.net"

That's how I found this site.

It's rather ironic:the very school system that helps me find the best site on earth bans it from the computer for--get this--the catagories of "Games" and "Tasteless" Not kidding, our school is run by a bunch of nazi bastards.

linked from GTF as well. anybody here go back to gt1 days? (game hunter, tom hornsby hybrids, etc etc... i feel old)

Believe me, I searched and asked around, nothing

Since we have over 90,000 members, I had one question that I kept asking myself. How did all of these flippin people find GTP? they just cant wake up one day and say "Hey I feel like joining the GTP forums today"

I found it as soon as I started to play GT4. I googled "GT4 prize car list" and it was the first thing that came up. I read it and continued to look around for about another 6 months before I really joined.

I do realize that this might be kind of hard for other older members, so your going ot have to think back a while.

Id like to hear how you came about to being on GTP, please explain

There was an old Gran Turismo website that a lot of people went to. It was the place to chat about anything GT or car racing related.

Soon after that, GTP became a decent place, too, but I never joined. The other place suited me just fine. With the diversity of people from all over the world, the place was a cool hangout.

But, that place turned to crap mostly by idiots wining about nonsense and the like. I also got fed up with the lack of proper attention to issues that needed to be dealt with, which was a direct action and result from all the attacks, nonsense and childishness that occurred there.

So, I left that place for GTP. Been here ever since.

I remember just surfing the net for release info on GT4... just pics, news, stuff like that..... by this point I think I was waitng for prologue (NTSC J one) to come out and I was thirsty for news! When I stumbled across GTP it was probably from a Google search or something and the moment I got here I joined... at that point I didnt think that I would stay here long and I had never been part of an online community so commitedly. I joined with the random name robin2223......

.....and the rest they say is history, I got hooked on the great atmosphere in here and the wealth of news on GT and everything else in life!..... 2,062 posts later im still here comming here nearly everyday..... Great Stuff! 👍 👍 :)

I was looking around in a GT4 thread on a completely unrelated forum (about Need For Speed, would you believe), and somebody mentioned being a member at GTPlanet. I decided to come check it out, discovered the Photomode Competitions and joined as EVO Lancer! That was over a year ago now, in January this year I decided I was tired of being known as EVO Lancer, and not being able to get Premium, started a new profile.
And now I run one of the photomode competitions!

I was looking for a place to hijack threads, and GTP seemed like the right place to do so :-)

In reality, I stumbled upon it after buying a PS2 and GT3.. Believe I was looking for settings for a misbehaving RUF...

Somebody on the Supercar.net forums asked another guy if he was from GTPlanet. I checked it out and have been here ever since. That was around 2002 or so.
