Sorry, i'm sure its been asked before but i can't find it.

I know the G25 isn't a default option in the settings (for the PAL version at least) but i'm sure i remember someone saying there was a way to get the clutch and H-gate working somehow. Something about hitting triangle at the start of every race?

Yes, Once you see START at the begenning of the race hit TRIANGLE button on the SHIFTER... you should know which button it is.. (black on very top) you press it once every race to turn the lutch on, you can turn it off agian, but remeber to press it every race.

H-Gate should work either way, you enable clutch by pressing Triangle on the shifter. H-Gate is already enabled.

What cars have you tried? You can't use clutch on some cars, R35 is one of them.

Thanks.

Thats got the H-gate working but the clutch still doesn't do anything?

What car are you using, Not every car works with Clutch GT-R for example.. Hmm thats weird. after you have controls of the wheel, everyone says even in Japanese version, press the Triangle button ( 4 black small dots, top one) and it should be working properly.

Got it now.

You were both right :) I was using the GT-R but just tried it with the integra type R and it works. Thanks guys.

No, reverse doesn't work, but I am having problems with activating the clutch. I tried while drifting, but can't see when before the race I am supposed to have time to active it? Or maybe the clutch doesn't work in drift mode?

Ok, I have a question nobody has ever answered. When you activate the clutch, do you have to use it? Can you stall? Do you need to clutch for upshifts to go in, and must you clutch and rev match for downshifts to get the gear in and to not slide the rear? Or is clutch usage just optional?

I've asked this to so many people in so many different ways, but have never gotten an answer.

Yes if you turn it on, you need to use it, In the Japanese version, CAR goes to Nuteral, to fix it you need to Go to nuteral, Press clutch and then properly change the gear.
So yeas, in some secne you can stall the car :) eats your time tho ;)
Its really fun to use.

As for the Ration steering, I dont own the EU copy so I really don't know how. I hear you can.. IDK

im just wondering if the game forces you to if you use the clutch. so it wont blip the throttle for you, but it has no ill effects if you dont rev match either?.. eh i jjust need to play the game

You don't have to use the clutch :)
Really at first it will be rally too much for you to handle, It took me quite long time to get you to and master it.
Like stated above, you can Turn it on, or Off. Its off by default.
By the way Can I add you to PSN? Since you're in NY I'm in PA, there be little lag to race against :)

Wow, you really have to use the clutch in prologue if you turn it on? I did not know that! It just puts the car in neutral if you dont use the clutch? A little grinding gears would be a nice touch..

The reason that the GTR may not work with the clutch is that the R35 does not have a clutch.

It is an automatic gearbox with paddle shift.

What others doesn't it work with?

If you activate the clutch then ofcourse youhave to use it! However if you do NOT activate the clutch you do not have to use it, but can still use the h-pattern.

And yes, you can blip and heel n toe...but only if you want to!

Again, can someone please give me a good explaination how you active the clutch? I can't seem to get it to work. Has anyone got it working on the EU version?

Don't forget you need a G25 wheel ;)

Again, Select you car, Make srure the car as in Real life has a clutch, even some cars you can still activate clutch even if life life they don't have one..

But anyways, Pick A car, lets say the Integra. Go race, Arcade, online, whatever, Once you are on the track, When the Screen Says START and computer gives you the control of the wheel, press Triangle button on the G25's shifter, Its the top button of 4 black little buttons. And thats it. You need to press it once to Turn it on, Once again to turn it off. You also need to do this every race. Too bad its not saved :(.

Other cars ? I really don't know, I think one of the small Suzuki cars or something like that can't use a clutch.
For me I use clutch for the cars that in real life use them, and for cars that don't have a clutch I use sequential. I really want good experience with each car.

Of course I have G25 wheel:sly:

I have assigned triangle to change view. To make it work I will have to reassign it to another button then I guess?

Thanks for your help, I will give it a go now:)

Hmm. I tried pressing triangle when getting the "go" from the game, and nothing happens! I know the button works, as it was assigned to change my view before I set it to nothing in purpose for activating the clutch. Sure there are no special game modes it works on, and others not, and does it at all work on the EU version? And does it matter which gear you are in before pressing or do you have to be off the controls before pressing?

EDIT: Got it suddenly working while I was midways drifting! After testing a little more, I found out that the right paddleshift activated it:D

Thanks for you help!

Actually the Nissan GTR has two clutches, though controlled by computer, not human. :)

LOL..
Well he meant the paddle clutch that you move with your foot ;)

Why not 3 for the Nismo eddition?

Sure, Imagine going to a dealer, and he tells you.. "THIS car has 3 clutches", and you're like. "ALRIGHT! I'll get the check. " Because we all know more is better :P

I don't really know why there are 2 clutches in some cars like this GTR
