How do I give a tuner a car to tune?

If someone could post info or a link to info on how to give a tuner a car to tune but still keep it myself, that would be great! I looked and searched but I'm not finding the obvious answer.

I'd like to have cars tuned with the exact upgrades I've installed when I'm looking for a tune. I don't always want them fully upgraded and sometimes would like to keep them stock with maybe an ECU and air-filter as the only upgrades. Of course the race suspension and drivetrain mods will always be added otherwise there is no tune. :D
 
You can't. You have to send it to him, and then it's basically up to him or her whether to give you it back or not =P
 
Save your game to a memory stick and then sent the car (as long as it's less than 1,000,000cr) to the tuner. Then go back and restore the game save from the memory stick back to your game and the car will be back.
 
You can always dupe the car...

Back up your save game, send the car, reload save. Then they can send it back whenever.

You can share the car in your profile. The tuner can then borrow it and do his tune. Obviously, he won't be able to send the tuned car back to you, but he could then send you a PM containing his settings.
