How do i launch properly?

Hello, i've started dragracing with a fully tuned Viper SRT10 which is now being driven by my B-Spec driver for extra HP. It now has around 1000, but whenever i launch at Indy, i fall back and when i am second, its time to brake. How do i launch the best way?

launch out of 2nd but short shift it to 3rd.

Also too add to that, add some toe to help gain traction off the line.
