Matty's got it; as a Premium member, you have the ability. You also have the ability to move the thread from that same drop-down menu, which I've just done for you (as this is a question about the site in general, not GT5).

If you're the original poster of the thread (meaning you're the one who made the thread), then you can close your thread whenever you want.
