i can get the first background thing up but then i dont know how to upload more pics after that to make it anamaited.... i searched the forums but didn't help.... im using photoshop and image ready

please help me!!!!

i found it out... you got to make a new one duplicate it as many times as u need and then copy and past the pic in to the anaimation thingy then if u want...then if you want more pics in it you copy and past it in again but it wil show oh all the screens.... so move them to make it so its only showing on the screen you want..... so yeah is kinda hard to explain

All you need to make the animated gif file is Photoshop. Make a PSD and then save for web as a gif. When you select "animate" each layer will become its own frame in the gif.

you don't need imageready to save as a gif; just use photoshop. each different layer yields its own frame of the animation. Then, once all your "frames" are in the correct order, go to File>Save For Web, select "gif" from the filetype dropdown menu, click the "animate" checkbox, and then mess around with the options until you get what you want. Simple enough? If not I'll make a tutorial on it later on.

here is a gif : )

My avatar is a good example.

1. Make something in Photoshop and the export into Image ready (Save the file as PSD./GIF OR JPEG)then ope in Imageready.

2.In Imagready click on the window menu and select animation, you will see a winodw with 1 frame already inside.

3. To add frames or tween animation click the circular button on the top right hand corner of the animation window.

Just like JPec07 said. :dunce:

Except that my version doesn't even use imageready. My avatar was all done in Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 (watered down version of Adobe Photoshop).

I beleive especially for the Internet, Imageready is better at GIF over Elements.

I still want to know how to make Video Animations. BTW, I use Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 although I have photoshop already. Is Imageready really that great?

ImageReady get's it's job done, but it's not really the bomb of animations. I don't remember what I used to use but I think it was Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8. Meh, it was a while back, but I remember it was really good.
