how do i use my cars from my garage in arcade mode

how do i use my cars with their settings in arcade mode? also is there any possible way to race someone AI or another person in the vegas drag strip? my last question is why does no one use the lexus gs300 i dont mean the vertex version just the lexus gs300 it has the supra twin turbo engine very fast and can be an outstanding drift,drag,track car
 
1) At the top of the car selection screen in Arcade mode (if you have your mem card in) you'll see a 1 and a 2. If the card is in slot 1, navigate to 1 and your garage cars will be there just like you left them in GT mode, however you cannot tune them and you can't see pics of them until you've selected the car and went back to the track/car selection screen.

I can't see any a 1 or a 2 on the car selection screen. I'm lost....and confuse :confused:

EDIT: Ah...i saw it on 2 player battle. Erm...on single race or time trial?
 
There is only one way you can use your cars from your garage. I'm going to blunt like I am at work...You can only use your cars from the garage in 2 player mode only. When you do the traction control system (TCS) is turned off and the car reverts to a default car, meaning no tuning nothing just the way it was when you first bought or won the car, you cannot see the car until you have chosen the car to drive against a firend or opponent.

Unfortunately GT4 hasn't given us the opportunity ton have this feature like it was when GT1 & GT2 came out.

Or you can use your garage cars by plugging in another PS2 controller or wheel, select 2player mode in Arcade mode, go to top and select your position, 1st player or 2nd player, pick the garage option and chose the car. This way you can drive by yourself in Arcade mode using your hard earned cars. but yet they still go back to the way the car was when you first got it before tuning it or by wheels and stuff ( includes the spoiler )

I'm not so sure about that. I race my garage cars all the time in 2P battle and they are tuned exactly the same including driving aids.
