Hey guys, I am very new to Gran Turismo 6 I have played Gran Turismo 5 but lotz of stuff in Gran Turismo 6 are in fact different. I was wondering how do paints work in Gran Turismo 6? Can some reply with a full explanation of how it works, so I know how and what to do with them. Thanks in advance!

the paints in GT6 are quite simple really; whenever you buy a car, you are given that cars paint chip. the paint chips can then be used in the car personalisation section under paints to paint almost every car in the game, excluding racing cars.

By the way, this is a relatively strict forum, please read the rules and comply to all of them you can. welcome to GTP! :gtpflag:https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/read-this-first-gt6-forum-guidelines.260897/whenever

P.S. i also suggest changing your profile picture, as some may find it offensive :odd:

The paints in GT6 never get used up. When you get a paint, it's yours forever, to use as many times as you wish. 👍

Okay, on topic..
Paints..When in the main screen you can go right and you see the Tuning and maintenace options (tuning/racegear/parts/paints etc.).
Select paint, you get now three submenu's, car/wheels/brakes, when in one of these menu's, you can select a paint, press triangle on your controller and watch how it looks in the new screen before you buy the paint.

If you don't have the pre-order GT6, you don't have chrome paint or other special paints.
You can win them with special season events.

Some cars can be painted, some you can't, just like GT5.

Now some stuff that is same as GT5 and also different.
Some cars you buy, just have one color, but can be repainted in the paint menu( lexus IS-F Racing concept '08).
Some cars you can buy have more colors, but can't be painted again but you get the paintchip (suzuki GSX/R).

Like GT5, some car brands have nice paints.
TVR and toyota FT086 G Sports concepts '10 have nice flipflop paints.:O
Lexus LFA has some nice funky colors.:p

And some cars have nice paints, but you will not get them.:irked:
SRT Viper SRT10 ACR '08 has Viper violet, but is not added in you paint menu.
Pagani Huayra's and Mclaren F1 '94 have Carbon , but you don't get them (bottom paint when you select):banghead:

And like PAPAgnr wrote: Once you have the paint, you have it forever, you can use it as often as you wish/like/want.

If a car/wheel/brake can't be painted? You get a nice white message in the paint menu.
And you can only paint a brake, when you bought a brake kit for that car.
If a car has a brakekit in it's standard settings? you mostly can't paint it .

I think that almost covers it all.

Uhhhh huh.. except you said you took the photo and it's of your work vehicle provided to you by Lamborghini.

Admit your lie and never do it again, it's a much less messy road than the one you're setting off on bud.
Okay, believe me or not ur choice.

Why can't you take a pic of the real car exactly? Will your camera phone explode if you do? Will you get 'fired'? Will someone walk up to you and ask "Why are you taking pictures of my car?"

Okay, believe me or not ur choice.

You have got to be joking, that's not how this system works mate - you make a ludicrous claim? You prove it. The AUP literally could not be clearer - "You will not knowingly post any material that is false, misleading, or inaccurate."

If you're seriously trying to suggest an 18 year old has been given a job at Lamborghini even as a cleaner in a dealership you're having a laugh. You're only making it worse for yourself by not throwing up your hands and admitting you lied.

To make this easier for everyone, yourself included, you have two options:

1. Prove your naysayers wrong.
2. Admit you were wrong or cease mentioning it from hereon out and it won't be an issue.

Now, not using textspeak on the other hand is a rule and isn't up for debate. Please adhere to the AUP you agreed to.
