Yes, there is a thread that explains this in good detail. It is "How can I post pictures?", and you should find it at the top of this forum next to the word "Read:" in red. :)

He did post a walkthrough. Here, I will break down his message into steps...

1. Right click the image that you want to post and save it to your computer (probably in 'My Pictures'). If you already have the picture you won't need to do this - just make sure you know what folder it is in on your hard drive.

2. Then when you're making a new post click the 'Browse...' button that you see below the text area box that you type your message in. Find the image file on your hard drive and click OK. Then click the "Submit Reply" button and it should appear in your post.

whats the folder on your harddrive
I would suggest reading the help files and user guide in Windows. You are expected to have a basic understanding of file structure when attaching images.

man my computer saves ART type file pics i cant change the type now do you see the problem?
Yes, that is AOL's proprietary image format. I will add ART formats to the site so you can attach your image without having to edit it.

Yes, I just made it valid so you can attach it into your post without having to edit it.

am i missing something here or is it not working
It's working fine - I can see the images with Internet Explorer. Are you wanting them to show up immediately in your post, so you don't have to click the link? I can't do that - it *must* be a JPEG or GIF for that to happen automatically.

GTSR- First, please type legibly. Secondly, if you want to make your images appear "instantly", thus rendering the need for GIF/JPEG images, you need an image-editing program, such as Photoshop (and I assume Paint does the same, though I've never used it). Just go to "Save As", or in Photoshop, you can also use "Save for the Web", then choose GIF or JPEG. ;)

No, everyone else just converts them to GIF or JPEG.
