How do you cope?

Depending on the race, and the skill of yourself, this could upset you some more. Nothing like loosing when your already annoyed. Speically if its only by .10 of seconds.

Oh I don't usually race. I just get in a comfortable car and lap a pretty course. Don't even worry about lap times.

Example - jump on Nurburgring in a Z4 and put miles on the odometer. Then watch the replay from observer mode.

My girlfriend / fiance / bride / wife are usually pretty helpful.
I would figure having four women in your life would create more stress than it would solve.

Ask Boom.

Pray, write, rationalize, pre-occupy myself with videogames and/or playing music and sometimes emotionally detach from the situation. Acceptance is also huge, on situations that are just too huge for me, I let God deal with it so I don't have to.

Yep, that's about it.

Four? That doesn't include mom(s), sisters, friends, co-workers ...

"I'm cruisin down the tryin to loosen my load
Got seven women on my mind
Four that wanna own me
Two that wanna stone me
One says shes a friend of mine

TAAAAKE IT EAAAAAAASSSY, take it eeaaeaeaeaaaasy ..."

Excellent song. I used this verse in my West Coast Trip writeup.

"Well, I'm a standing on a corner
in Winslow, Arizona
and such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed
Ford slowin' down to take a look at me"

We spent the night in Winslow. It was neat (:

-Listen to some music
-go for a drive. Anywhere, just drive. I try not to do it when I'm mad though since I have a tendency to push the gas a bit too hard.
-find any excuse to get out of the house. I usually find that I get even more depressed when I'm at home.
-talk it out with friends
-pray
-remotely force a reboot to my sister's computer at random times. Always a good way to relieve stress and anger directed at her
-Play with my guitar

Little bit of praying, talking to my wife, walking with the dog, watch some REALLY stupid movie to distract myself.

I don't know, I guess I must have a pretty easy life because I don't have to try to make life easier. I guess, when I get mad, I do nothing about it, just walk away.

Running always gives me a place to either think about or get away from what is bothering me. If not then playing bass is pretty good. I actually find it easier to talk to complete strangers than good friends about my problems. I don't know why.

To cope with tough times, I usually log onto GTPlanet and ban people.
Looking at my notes, Flerbizky is next on my ban queue.

Oh, Duke, it was only three different women. I couldn't possibly handle a fourth. :sly:

I cope by going to karate training and kicking the hell out of something.... or getting my ass kicked by the teacher. That usually helps forgetting about other problems.

If I don't do that I usually blast music loud.

Lift weights, then go shooting. After that, I'm high as kite and can face anything troubling me. Just deal with it, and move on. Talking to my boys and their mother works too, but usually they're the people causing me grief. Heh.

Booze does nothing for you. Your problems are still there waiting for you after you sober up.

I would never run away, I have never ran away.
Running, not running away. Notice XC = Cross Country. ;)

I talk to my girlfriend about it. She knows absolutely everything about me; we have no secrets and we never lie to each other. It's super-easy to approach her when I'm going through a tough or emotional time for whatever reason.

Someone recognizes it and doesn't think my sn is either garbled nonsense (though it kind of is) or a failed attempt at ecstacy!!!

That's great, I wish I'd have someone like that as well.

I dunno – I always thought your SN was pretty obvious. ;)

HEY - That was totally uncalled for - I might not be bothered about getting sacked from work - Getting "sacked" from GTP is a completely different matter...... :grumpy:

i tend to think 'it is not the end of the world, or my life, or my woman's life and if so, there's not much to worry about'. because of that usually i dont have tough times.
if i really can't hack it, which is rarely because i have quite a happy life, and i am not too easy to impress [in a good or bad way] i find a spliff being the ultimate in relief.
