Now, how exactly do you get a picture of the game without using a camera to actually take a picture of your TV screen? It looks really awesome compared to what I can do at the moment, and I want to learn how... Do you have to plug the PS2 into your computer, or do you plug something into your TV or whatever...

You take the photo using photomode, or by pressing select during a saved replay, and save them to a USB stick. You can then put the USB stick in your PC and access them from there.
 
Yes, I'm so computer-illiterate here I have to ask... Do the photo files come in .max form? How would I convert them to Jpeg or Png?

They are saved as jpg files.

max files are replay files saved using a max drive, and that's completely different to saving photos.
 
Now I have another stupid stupid question.

How do you get videos on to the computer and how do you convert them?
