Not talking about spec2, but GT6.

Are you gonna be hyped again? It feels like GT5 dropped out of the radar with shame. So it's gonna take another installment for it to be the definitive GT Game, or once again become the definitive racer.

How long do you think it would take? Especially since we still got 800 more standard cars to prime up. One thing I hope is that PD will up it's staff and technology such as big car scanners to get production moving faster.

If you get 'hyped' you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

Just take it easy. Enjoy what you get.

I don't see GT5 as having dropped off any radar. And I consider it the definitive GT Game in the series.

As for waiting for GT6.. I'm not fussed. At all.

I think GT6 will be out for the PS4 and not the PS3, that said i will be expecting somthing a lot more complete that GT5

As to how long and would i be hyped - 2 years and hell yes:nervous:

Guys hold on. We are talking about GT6 now? Gt5 is still being updated and new content is coming. We have very little information on what GT6 will be like or when it will be released. Leave GT6 to consider maybe 1 year ahead. Focus on what's happening on GT5 at the moment.

And to answer your question, yes, I will be anticipating GT6 as I did with GT5. I really hope PD can learn from their mistakes through some of GT5s flaws, and conclude with a better, more focused game in the future.

I don't really plan on waiting for it, I'll just get it whenever it eventually comes out (if I have the appropriate system for it).

It's different.

GT4 had no online.

So the wait was horrible because GT4 began to get stale. Luckily, in '07, we got GT5: Prologue so the wait wasn't as bad as it could've been.

GT5 has online. It has unlimited potential.

Also, PD now has moved to a bigger building and (I presume) employed a few more staff. That, coupled with the fact that GT5 is the base for GT6, means we could have GT6 by around 2013/2014 - just in time for it to be on the PS4 (please).

GT6? When I no longer am having fun with GT5 (which will probably be when my PS3 dies) then I might think about it. I am not waiting for it anymore than I am waiting for anything else in life.

Ummm, I think we might (with certainty) have an epidemic of unthankfulness in todays world.
However you look at it, racing is racing, and if you're boarded with GT5 now you'll be board with GT6 as well. Go find yourself a better game in the mean time.

GT5 taught me a few things.
Most notably that no matter how many dollars, or how many years a company sink into a game, if they lack direction, it can still be awful in many ways.

While the graphics and physics are still very good as they've been for every GT game in it's time, everything else is a letdown.
GT5 also showed me that PD doesn't really give a crap to change, it seems pretty much Kaz's way or the highway.

Now whether or not the past year has changed their minds, time will tell, but I'll not be anticipating another GT like I did GT5 again, ever.

The irony is, I was one of the biggest GT fanboys to ever walk the earth in the past.

GT6 will probably be shorter than GT5 in terms of development time- it seems to me that GT5's physics and graphics engine are like the "backbone" of GT6- and GT6 will focus on tweaking, perfecting, y'know, rendering as many cars as possible, etc.

I don't care about GT6 at all, actually. I'm currently enjoying GT5 and looking forward to what Spec II has to bring to the table.

Gran turismo 5 is the best GT of them all. Don't bother listening to those useless reviews.90% of them haven't even done 50 percent of the game.

The only thing and i mean the only think that is worth in previous GT games that's missing in GT5 is the tracks.

Graphics best of them all
Gameplay: best of them all
Features: has the better lot
Online
Damage

By the way, a game that dropped off the radar wouldn't be selling after a year

Don't expect so there won't be dissapointments. I know I'm not a hardcore GTer, so waiting isn't really a problem. Actually just don't wait at all, just buy it when they do release it.

What ever happen to the old times where you just buy a game and just play. When we played Mario or Contra back in the days, we really didn't say "man this game is so incomplete, not even in my standards. The game is such a bust because they didn't make the game how I like it to be." You just play the game and when your done with it, then you move on with life. No constant complaining or whatsoever. When you feel like playing it again, blow into the cartridge and play, have fun.

I've already decided that I'm not going to "wait" for GT6.
That will just make the "wait" seem longer.
We have no idea when GT6 will be released, let alone be officially announced.
Could be anywhere between a year and 15 years.
We've no idea.

Look man, ever since i have arrived on this site all i have seen from you is complaints and moaning. It's obvious now you don't like or enjoy the game. So my question is this

why? Why bother anymore? Just sell your ps3 and play forza.I never understood the need for constant complains. when there is a game i don't particularly care for, i simply drop it and move on. Trust me. You will save yourself alot of white hairs in the future.

Same, I will car about it 4 years from now after they stop developing GT5.

LOL. The dedication some people have to their cause is scary. I really hope PD sees your posts so atleast their is some kind of pay off. I really do.

Sure. We demanded as many cars as they could cram on the Blu-ray disc. They did what they could to accommodate that.

We wanted Race Mod, and they cobbled something to occupy us for the time being.

We wanted time of day changes, night racing and weather. We got it on some tracks.

We demanded damage, Kaz urged the team to give it their best shot. When fans saw it, they didn't like it, so Kaz scrapped all the work they did and pulled it. And thus we got many months delay for their whining.

We wanted the used car dealership expanded. We got another lot.

I swear, some people live in a world of their own making...

As for the topic, I am looking forward to GT6, have since I found out what GT5 was. No, I don't dislike GT5, I love it, love the Standard cars and tracks, most everything. But I want more. I want Forza's livery editor and selling/sharing system. I want a sim-like Career and Season Mode. I expect GT5 to continually be improved, so GT6 will be less urgent for me, but I'm hoping to have it in two or three years on PS4.

@ Tenacious, thanks for that line about hoping for GT6 in 2-3 years time on Ps4,
I loll'd so much, that I involuntarily spat my coffee onto the screen :)
Your quite the optimist, I reckon it'll take them that long just to create their new game-engine for the Ps4. We'll be hearing how difficult that was, how they threw out all the legacy code, and started from scratch, again, - yet ended up with something incredibly similar to the earlier GT's. Then Kaz will start talking about hardware limitations, and how he couldn't realize his 'vision'........................
I've completely fallen off the GT hype train.

Developers are involved with the design of the PS4 and it's tools, and PD is a pretty significant member in the SONY CE group, so I wouldn't (s)coff too much. ;)

Way to many people forget these very things.

The point of opening a thread like this tells you a lot...

We are already waiting because GT5 was supposed to be THE GAME... :dunce: Not the half finished game it is right now...

I'm sure they did.

But that still doesn't explain the fact that there's too many duplicates of certain cars, and nowhere near enough variety.

PD wasted valuable dev time creating 2 premium MX-5s when that could've gone into creating a new Premium car from '09 or '10.

Thread about GT6

so in the wrong section, or way to early

By the way I would preorder GT6 the moment it is announced :sly:
