New update!

I FINALLY MADE IT

Suzuka_circuit_map_(1987-2002).svg

Lap 1: Took LM24Z's advice and made no intention of passing Vettel. Hit a few grass strips, but luckily didn't spin out.

Lap 2: Still kept myself on Vettel's tail and tried to be more careful. Crashed bad by turn 16 due to the rear right tire meeting grass :scared:, but luckily the car landed in the right area of the track , and kept going from there!

Gold on Suzuka Circuit in 2:26.459! :sly:

X2014 S. Vettel Challenge Complete!!

Red Bull Challenge 100% Complete!!!

And I got myself a Fan Car :D:D:D:D

Many thanks guys for helping me out!

Well done

Biggest hassle I had was with the "rubber band" steering... but I got there in the end

When you finish this, go and buy Gran Turismo 5 and try the vettel challenge. With DS3 of course....
Ha ha - gold! (Pardon the pun). The trick with Suzuka is the S bends up the hill. You can make up a lot of time there. Just pick your lines and use the throttle well in little bursts between each turn. Don't be afraid to go into the last chicane hot too, the breaks are good and if you get it right it will also make up time. Welcome and good luck! :)

Hell... This 🤬 I mean "thing" is just undrivable! Its only purpose is that it will allow you to inspect all safety barriers, sand ponds, curbs, walls, tire piles and grass areas. Thanks to that wonderful car, I have finally made it: I was able to 100% inspect all thee tracks of the challenge.

OK, let's stop with irony...
After a certain number of attempts, I finally decided to try your settings (thanks guys ) and I finally managed to bronze all 3 tracks. But when I saw that I still needed to win 5 to 10 sec. (or more) on each track to get gold trophies, the little courage that was still left in me fully disappeared.

I stop at bronze, now I got a "fan car" that saves me a 6 mil expense and I will never use...
Anyway, I completed the event thanks to you all.

Thanks again to all of you for your invaluable tips, but I will not try to gold this event. This car is just a pain in the 🤬 when using a DS3...

Hope the next events added to GT6 will not feature that car...

Well you still got the fan car

They might make another Red Bull event if they ever make something like, say, a X2015 Prototype (like how they did with the X2011 Prototype) and make it a seasonal...

Thanks God It gives RB cars as prize.
I sold every crap/spaceship they think is drivable and made a good money.
:gtpflag:

In my opinion I don't think they are worth selling, as they only sell for like 500,000-900,000 when their original prices are from 200,000 (X2014 Jr.) to 6,000,000 (Fan Car)

I actually think they're a pleasure to drive now (thanks to those settings)! Too bad I get kicked online the moment someone sees me in it...

IN A FREE RUN LOBBY

Well, better 900 on my game's pocket than let it on Stockyard.
I actually practicing with zero AIDS lately with every car I have and it's being fun.

Am I the only one who thought this was a tad dissapointing in terms of challangeing? Suzuka was the hardest, but still only took me five laps to gold.

Free run doesn't mean anything is allowed. The Red Bull cars has a bad reputation of creating havoc where they go, so it's best to ask the host before you use it.

I find what helped the most was looking the right distance ahead on the track to time the braking and turn in points.

When I not only golded the race, but beat Vettel I won an extra 1 mil.

I won two RB cars. 1 for bronze and then the fan car for gold.

Weird, I only won one car (the fan). And I beat Vettel in at least two of the races, but didn't get an extra Mil! I was paid for bronze, silver, and gold, but no bonus for beating him.

I don't think there was a bonus. And I don't really care, I got all golds and I'm done with these pieces of crap headache inducing spaceships.

What is there a added bonus for beating Vettel??

There's no bonus for beating Vettel!!

Maybe I went a few rounds at second place without collecting. Then after finally golding, and beating Vettel, I exited out and collected more than I expected for the last win.

My bad :)

Because you got Silver and Bronze prize money as well as Gold.

This F1 car thingy is to much for Kitten.

I thought it was gonna be too much for the Rat as well but I stuck with it and was able to win. Automatic transmission was the trick for me, not worrying about the shifting gave me more time to react at those insane speeds.

The advice I would give for Suzuka is: Don't push at 100% for the first attempt...run at about 80% and work out where you can go full throttle, where you need to lift and where you need to brake. Then you can start pushing more and more. I think it took me about 5 attempts using a DS3 to gold it, mainly due to silly errors on my part....and it doesn't need to be perfect, as long as you keep it on track.

And I agree with Chris_75 above...the Vettel Challenge in GT5 with a DS3 is some sort of PD joke: "you really think you are good? Haha...now we demonstrate that you are not!". It took me about an hour or so total to gold all 3 in GT6.....in GT5, after an hour, I wasn't even close to getting gold at Monza, let alone the other 2 events
Same here,, GT6 Vettel runs were/are a challenge but for sure do-able. Gold was mine after perhaps an hour or so for the Standard and the FanCar but I had to set my Driving Force wheel to sensitivity setting "0". Slowed the wheel to a level it (and I) could keep up with the car. In GT5,, I made it to Bronze and finally gave up going for Silver or Gold. I know some of the guys did make GOLD in the GT5 Vettel challenges but VERY few!! Those races were/are off the charts difficult... :irked: :banghead:

That too!

Thanks for the reminder. That's the same way seasonal's pays out, correct? Gold it the first time and collect all the prize winnings.

Yeah, I think they are - all events that are one-payouts are like that. So Coffee Breaks, Goodwood, Mission Races, Lunar Missions, Seasonal TT's and Red Bull Vettel Event.

I hope so. So I can have the fastest race car ever, and a seasonal that takes more than 1 attempt to gold.
