All moths must die. It's them or you, buddy. Them or you. They're plotting against you as we speak.
Hey moth-hater, say that to my new buddy! :p

I found him the other night when the raccoons were trying to eat him.

I also found a click beetle last night – I put in on my clipboard, and brought it in the house to show my mom. Then I went outside and set the clipboard down to let him go, and a raccoon walked up and ate him.

Sage how can you do that. Seriously I'd way rather hold a snake instead of a moth. I just looks like they have stingers. I hate butterflys too, they always get in my face and I start chasing them.

Um, except they don't. :p There is only one species of moth in the entire world that can inflict any kind of bodily harm, and it lives somewhere in Africa. All other moths are perfectly harmless – they couldn't sting or bite you even if they wanted to.

I was more concerned about the click beetle I was holding last night, because they have rather stout mandiles.

You gotta sort them racoons out
Yeah, I know. :D I found another large insect last night, a Giant Unlined Chafer (I didn't take that picture, BTW), when one of the raccoons was rather violently swatting it with its front paws. Actually, two of them were attacking it – I had to shoo them away so I could catch it.

Sorry, Sage...anything with antenna and wings that big will get destroyed by me if it's not on a racetrack or landing at an airport.

[shudders again]

Oh com'n, it's perfectly harmless. :p It can do about as much damage as a leaf. Like I said, a little click beetle caused more concern for me, since it actually has mandibles.

I think I'll go find a jumping spider and photograph him on my hand just to scare you people. ;) Jumping spiders are the coolest – they remind me of chipmunks.

I'm in Vancouver there aren't many cool bugs around here. Really it's just pests and moths that bug me everything else is fine.

Right now my problem is with this cat, it's out to eat my budgie. I put my budgie outside because it seems to me that he enjoys it outside. Well today when I came to check on him, heard him screaming his head off. I was startled by the shift movement of a black cat. ( Cats are my mortal enemy, if there's one animal I can't stand it's cats and crows. These 2 just piss me off) Well I brought my bird in and ran the stupid cat out of my yard. Afterwards I was watching T.V. on the floor as I usually do, couches aren't very comfortable. And guess who comes in for a visit. That STUPID cat again, it had it's eyes set out for my little birdie friend. The cat sneakily tried to get in, but I have wandering eyes so I saw him out of the corner of my eye. I was ready to throw one of my sandles at it, but the reflexes of a 190 lb couch potato against those of a cat aren't quite on the same level. The stupid cat is in my yard somewhere now.
My bird seems to attract all the animals in the neighborhood....o well, I guess it calls for some excitement around here..stupid cats.

I've seen a horsefly. I've even seen a cranefly. But I've never seen an elephant fly.

I said I would and I did:

I actually found two, but the other one kept jumping on the camera lens.

Yes, my palms are. ;) Strangely though, I'm yellower than my mom, even though she's full-Asian and I'm not.

Anyway, spider! Yeah.

lol i thought those pics of bugs you killed....don't know why

I don't kill bugs, only when I am really pissed off. Once I saw 2 guys, drawning a fly in a little pool of beer (at a bar). When they weren't looking, I saved that poor little fly from a certain dead. Don't laugh, that's just who I am :) :nervous:
