How do you play your games without losing track of them? I have over 65 games and I am currently playing probably 10-12 right now and I just loose track sometimes. What do you do if you have a lot of games that you play? Do you beat 1 at a time or play all of them and switch around to progress thru each one? Do you play just the car games then action? I am trying to figure out a strategy so I can enjoy them all without losing interrest. :dopey:
Here is the list of games that I am playing but some are slowly slipping off the list since I am losing interrest.
1. Second Sight
2. Burnout 3
3. The Suffering
4. SRS
5. Test Drive: Eve of Destruction-finished
6. Rallisport Challenge 2 (x-box)
7. Devil May cry 2
8. Roller Coaster Tycoon (x-box)
9. Onimusha 3
10. Drakengaurd
11. Toca 2 (x-box)

I play one at a time, but if I get stuck, I do more of another game. Hopefully I'll have worked out a way to beat the first game during that time.

The reason I was wondering this is because I talked to my friend last night and he still has games wrapped in the plastic and never opened.
His quote "I refuse to open a new one till I get the other ones beat" Then he said "I still have Grand Theft Auto: Vice City wrapped up."
I replied with "You have to be kidding me right??!!! You do realize the new Grand theft auto: SA is coming out right?!!" :ouch: :dunce:

Yes I did and I heard the question marks too. I would correct my error but then others would wonder what you were talking about so I will leave them. 👍

I forgot to post my own list.

GT3
Roadkill (10/10 IMO:tup: )
Total Immersion Racing

I am currently playing GT2 / GT3 / NHL 2004 / Ratchet and Clank / Race Driver ....( last two been on the back burner for awhile
That reminds me I have been wanting to play GT2 again real bad. Havent played it in years I just remmeber there were over 500 cars and it was an excellent game. Ill have to add that to the list.

I only buy game that have alot of replay value so I always have time to beat anything within the rental time. Right now I only play PGR2 on live, and Links 2004 but not so much anymore. The only things I can see myself buying in the future are Forza Motorsport and Burnout 3 after I rent it. Plus I finally got bored of playing TFC and DOD.

I can't multi-process on that level. Usually I'll stick with one game or thing and work on it for several weeks, making tons of progress. Usually if I hit a snag, though, I'll just move on and work on something else so that when the wheel brings me around to that thing again, I'll be able to tackle it from a new angle and overcome. In this manner I usually get things done.

I'm now finding that I'm having the very same problem. Right now, I'm only playing 2 different games, but they are both "online" games and I'm having difficulty keeping up with everyone that I usually play with.

I have a clan on Socom II and now have a clan for StarWars Battlefront that I need to keep up with. It's been difficult to keep in touch with everyone between the two games.

It is easy to stay focused. I am very focused when It comes to games. (except for Halo*BORING*) I play one for an hour or two, than another, and another, and another, and then go to bed. that is an average Saturday.

*Sigh*

I don't have this problem. I just play one game for a while, and when I'm bored, I go back to an older one. I have a total of 5 PSX games since I bought the console: GT1, GT2, Formula 1 '97: Championship edition, and the older version of F1. And Spyro the Dragon, when I was sick of playing with cars...although it didn't entertain me for more than 30 minutes or so.

And I have 2 games I really play for the PS2: GT3 and GTA:Vice City. There's also 3 others that I never get around to playing, because they aren't as much fun: Auto Modelista, The Simpsons: Road Rage, and Midnight Club (got them all as gifts).

I received a free one-year subcription to Game Informer, and one thing became clear: There really is a thing as too many video games. How many copy-cats of the same genre do you need? And if you are really into a game, why buy something else that's similar to it? Why not finish what you have, and then buy something new?

In any case, trying to play 12 games and keeping track of them is a good way to get attention-deficit disorder. Stick to one thing at a time, and maybe you don't need the latest game, or need to complete it in a week. There's no expiration date on your video games, there's no competition to pass the game, there's no external prize for beating your neighbor or fellow GTP user at GT3.

One thing that the GT2 forum(s) have tought me over the years is that now, even nearly 5 years after it's inception, people are still trying it out for the first time, or finally finishing it after many years, or trying out all over again. It doesn't matter, as long as you enjoy it. And if you have to start a thread that complains that you don't know what you're going to do about playing a dozen games at once, then you're obviously not enjoying any of it.

*Sigh*

I'm still playing driv3r , the last mission is impossible to complete :grumpy:
Still playing GT2 after I got it in 2001 :) Haven't finished it yet.

I play whichever game I feel like playing at the moment. The last game I played was Madden 2005. I'm in my fifth year with the Patriots franchise.

I think that most people don't see finishing a game as a goal. Infact, most games don't have endings anymore. Look at all the sports games, or first person shooters, role playing games ... real time strategies. There are no ends to these games. Sure there's a story mode, but to heck with that. Bot matches and skirmishes are what most people play. So they play a bunch at the same time.

I'm in it for the adventure. Story telling games are what I like best. Ico is awesome. I was completely immersed, and touched no other game while I was playing it. Now, something more involving, like GT3, or GTA3, I would have to jump around to other games occationally, but focus primarily on finishing those games.

I guess it really matters if you're a goal oriented gamer, or just looking to pass the time.

I just beat Test Drive: Eve of Destruction about 5 minutes ago. Probably had about 18-25 hours into it. Hardcore redneck game but still fun. I would say over all its a good rental and thats about it. One less game on my list. Now time for Second Sight.

You mean there are other games for the PS2? :dunce:

Actually I bought FIFA 2001 and Coolboarders to give me something to do until GT3 made its appearance. :)

Bought my copy of GT3 the day it came out, and haven't bought another game since. :dopey:

Probably won't either until GT4 arrives! :sly:

Just had to update my list of back logged games. This is rediculous. Im getting further and further behind and slowly making progress on finishing some of these. Most of my time lately has been with Halo 2 and all that time is online.
Here are my top priority games. Highest priority at the top.
1. NFSU:2
2. GTA:SA
3. Halo 2 (x-box)
4. Metal Gear Solid 3
5. ATV 3
6. Burnout 3
7. Second Sight
8. The Suffering
9. Toca 2 (x-box)
10. GT2

I don't really have the time to play more than one game at once. Most of my concentration right now is on San Andreas, although I'll occasionally play Halo or Madden '05.

Heh. I'm playing 2 games at the moment: Quake III on the PC, and GT 3 on the PS2. I only have those games, no others.

It's easy to keep track: PC = Guns = Kill everything you can see. PS2 = Cars = Go faster than everything you can see.

Crack helps....

Seriously though, it's hard. And the older you get the more titles come out that you don't have the time to keep up with. When FFX first came out I was blown away, however, I got so sick of building my characters that when I finally got to SIN I quit playing. I threw it in a couple of weeks ago determined to finish up this loose end. Much to my surprise, I was at the end of the game with two hits to finish off the game.

So, keep your games. Don't pawn them, you never know when you might have some extra time to finish them. Then again, I used to pride myself in finishing every game I played. Now I just don't care. Letting go, and not being anal retentive can set you free.

~Peace~

I have really close to 100 PS2 games all backed up. About 80 of them are backed up and mabey 15-20 are the ones in the original cases.
Since I "backup" all my games that is the only reason I have so many. Otherwise I would only own about 20.
Back on subject. Since I work 40-50hrs per week and recently attend a class at night in college twice a week this limits the amount of time I have to play games. And recently so many good ones came out that I just got behind. December looks dead for game releases so I will have the whole month to wipe out as much as possible.
Most I dont care about beating. I just woudl like to play more than 2 hours into some of them. :)

It's odd, but I find GTA games easier to complete than any other. Although having said that, Ace Combat 4 was a breeze.

Yeah they are usually quite easy, just time consuming.
