How do you think vehicle livery will be introduced? (if it happens!)

I think if the option to add Racing vehicle livery to your car, will be done in a way that the car has to be RM'd first, then you get 100's of options and different variations, just like how they have done it with racing suits and helmets. This can only happen if all the Premium gets the option to have RM applied though.

This will have to be basic layouts for it to fit each car, but you get the idea.

My idea is that vehicle livery customization won't be introduced. It would require too many changes to the core game components to be viable at this point.

Maybe it will happen in GT6. I hope so.
 
First of all I don't think we will get livery editor in GT5.

But we still can dream ;) For me the most perfec solution would be uploading my whole livery as image file. I don't like to work with something else than photoshop. I understand that would be drawback for most of gamers so in-game livery editor also would be fine. Combine these two options and you have perfection.

More realistic - it would be editor where you have multiple designs for particular car and you choose colors for prefered design of livery.
 
I was thinking of a way to implement it by PD putting up the car shape/model (or something similar) on their website, we then download whichever one we wanted and could design our own on Photoshop or something.

Obviously that wouldn't be ideal because not everybody has editing programs, so they would need an in-game option too. But that's my wish 👍
 
I don't think it will be in GT5. Ever.

Maybe not even GT6.

But if it was implemented, I can only see it done in the same way other games do it. Select car part > paint, apply/stretch vinyl, etc etc.

This. I seriously doubt we will get anything fancy, but if, it will be made out of presets for sure.
 
I hope it would be like you can do it yourself, invade the one you want isn't there, like to replicate real race cars, but then you have people who exploit it...
 
With GT5, we'll most likely have presets as with GT2, or templates which can have different colors added, and perhaps decals sized and placed. I want to be surprised though, because making your own liveries is practically a must for any serious racer, and especially car clubs and leagues. Most likely, the real livery editor will show up in GT6, but let's hope Kaz is kind to us in 5. :D
