how do you use a custom avatar?

I found an avatar I would like to use for GTP, but don't know how to apply it to my settings. I went to the edit avatar options menu and could only use an already existing one or none at all. Could someone help a newb, and give me the step-by-step proceedure on how to accomplish this task. Thanks!

You have to have 50 or a 100 posts before you can have a custom 'tar.

You need 100 posts to change to your won custom avatar.
