How do you use nitrous?

Okay.. I feel like im the only guy here that cant get the nos to work.. o.0

Yes i did add one.. but Pressed All the Buttons on the DFP and Controller.. still wont work.

I know its R1 but how the hell can i know if the nos is working or not.. I can see the red bar.. for the nos..

OMG its not jet flame ricer-style nfsu2 fire power. You see the bar go down it goes slow on 65(what I have). When your in font bumper cam or hood cam you can hear a slight WHISSSSSSSSSSSS. You can tell its working when you speed up more than usual.

its not ****in' NOS! its Nitrous, and to use it, press the magical button, R1, you have a bar above your gas bar if you have it.

Actually it's Nitrous Oxide. All together it's a system, so we're forced to conclude that an acronym for the whole thing can be NOS. Yes it's also a brand name, who gives a shat?

...bummer about the model t not being upgradeable...they could at least gave us na for it ...after all you can take any stock car and throw a million ton shot of nos...errr...no^2 in it and not blow the engine...thats real life right ...and it would also be very amusing if you could drift the model t....that would be so hard tryin to counter steer while adjusting the spark and all the other levers at the sametime...

..or we could say nos = r1

...if your still having problems and youve equipped nos...and you hold r1 and dont see the red meter go down ...try a different car on the vegas strip go one lap normal and then go one lap with r1 held down...you should be able to see a time difference...if not........

STOP what your are doing pull out gt1 get at least 90% then do the same to gt2 and gt3...after completing all of these your playstation will enable the nos feature of gt4.....

....if all that doesnt work switch to the original nintendo and play excitebike and hold the b button down ..this is not true nos but you will go faster than using the a button....just be carefull because ..exessive b ..button usage will resulting in overheating... 👍

I know that the Buick Special does when you race against it (American Hall). He was way back there, and then he was right on my bumper! And it wasn't because I slowed down, either.

I actually installed it on a Lotus Elise and on a Honda Beat. For the Beat it was ideal, because the thing is so underpowered, that it needs all the help it can get. Hey, it got me in and out of the Lightweight Cup with very few hassles.

I'm learning to like the nitrous on cars with turbos, (especially ones that like to lag alot) comming out a turn with it boggin gdown, just hit the "boast" button, for a second solves the problem instantly

(although most of that probably wouldn't be a problem if i could learn how to drive better )

Hmm, now we're talking about NOS: you do see backfire, isn't it? Well, my question is probably stupid, but how do you get backfire when not using NOS? I tried it several times in Prologue, but it never worked. I always race w/ Manual Transmission. Thanks in advance.

Umm first off you backfire doesn't occur with nos, 2 you always get backfire w/o nos, 3. it happens radomly and sometimes during shifting, you should see at least once in a race...if you read through the topic you would've seen NOS doesn't have nfsu flame and you should know backfire and nos are different things

Too bad my B-spec dude doesn't pass anyone... He is supposed to "learn" from you, but this guy doesn't learn from me at all... usually I will pass as many people as quick as I can, but he won't... he will brake early if some other car's racing line is going through his... bastard. I tried the same race in A-spec and B-spec and I finished 1st in A-spec and 4th in B-spec. In A-spec I had a 12 second advantage over the next guy.
