Not a question about lifting the credit limit, but when you've reached it, what do you do?

I have the maximum credits, 20,000,000 and have at least 2 of each of the really expensive cars, I've collected every car in the game. So created another account to start all over again.

So when you reach the maximum number of credits, what do you do?

1. Buy expensive cars to get the paint chips
2. Buy expensive tradeable cars to gift
3. Buy whatever cars are available at the time
4. I want to keep earning credits because I'm collecting every car
5. I want to keep earning credits because I'm collecting several of the same car.
6. I want to keep earning credits, I want a garage full of cars, ready for whatever race/circuit/pp/tune needed
7. I don't care, I Just let the credits go to waste
8. Started GT5 all over again (either by choice, or due to an issue)
9. Started the game again, to build up an
10. Another reason, see my post

Hello Reflcoptor - Someone else from Birmingham!!

I find reaching the ceiling of levels and credits, I tiny bit annoying. I am only a very casual gamer, and GT5 is the only game I play - but to earn credits, and they not counting doesn't fit well with how I am wired as a person. It there was no limit to credits, I'd probably have less cars, and be a billionaire!

and you'de have something else to put in your signature, namely the amount of credits you'd have got!

I buy whatever cars are around at the moment that I don't already have. No use having money if you're not going to spend it.

I have no problems earning money and I have no worries about going broke either.I go totally bust at least twice a week sometimes more.

For the last year I've been spending almost all my credits on expensive paintable exotics. The Jaguar XJ13,Lambo Miura and the Alfa Romeo TZ2.I see no reason to waste the credits so I may as well create a work of art collection worth billions in credits.I can do that or have nothing to show for all the hard work.

I'm have,by way of medical reasons, far far too much time on my hands. This allows me to play the game as often as I wish or as often as my thumbs will allow.DS3 player here. All my credits are made from A-spec only(since I'm allergic to b-spec)from one account.I have raced for every credit on my own so I feel that I have earned them and should have something to show for the effort.

There was a thread a long while back asking asking a similar question and I never got around to answering because no one seemed to be in the same "League of Crazy" as me when it came to car collecting. Not even close!

So to answer your question I have...228...of each!

228 Jaguar XJ13

228 Lamborghini Miura

228 Alfa Romeo TZ2

By days end I will have one more Jag another Miura and perhaps even a TZ2.They are of course all paintable and that's what makes them unique as collectables. No one anywhere has my collection. And no two of mine are painted with the same name colour. It makes for quite a quilt in the garage. Some of the colours would be called sheer heresy(Passionatte Pink?) on the cars they're applied to.

December and eary January was a good time for collecting for sure as I was easily buying up a set or two a day. Best buying day ever was 110,000,000 credits in cars in early January.

These totals may seem seriously unbelievable to some but realistically all you need is the time to do it! And I have that time.

I'm the exact same way, I've run out of things to do with credits over the years so the just sit at 20mill.

That is partly what prompted the poll - as a casual player of GT5, I thought that loads of players just have millions of credits and either massive garages, or that they ignore them ... couldn't see many other options!

Thank you for your interesting answer, and I might do something similiar, when I get bored with just creating another account to start all over again.

Not really a problem, but each time I've added the DLC cars - which including the Stealth and Chromeline mans I begin with a fairly healthy garage! And I also realised, that I didn't used these cars so much. Which is what I'm doing in my current career.

wow - I expected more - I buy cars to gift to other players... usually freeloadings noobs - I had a phase of getting them changing into them giving them a paint job maybe snaztastic wheels and then gifting a rare colour 0/0/0 car. (When you get in the car alter the Brakes in the set up area before you leave the garage - don't get in them when you first buy the car... not that I am bothered by 0/0/0 but you never can tell.

A Ferrari F40 seems the best value gift if the victim of your gift wants to cash it in.
I also buy Murcelargo's and LFA's as they are both pricey but have odd paints. (One mate likes Pink paint and another likes Verde Ithaca - so a few trips to the supercar emporium and I am swimming in paintchips (So much Rosso Corsa I think that I've caught Typhoid.) (!)

Of course when you have bought everything and too many credits Old ASpec events can get good again - I tried GTAllstars - 3 laps of Nurby 24 in a Lister Storm - but the XJR9 is athe Rabbit at the back - so you have to motor up the road to get a lead - before it reels you in... All in all great fun - and the win got me 43,000 credits -

“Ryk experienced the sort of abysmal soul-sadness which afflicts one of Tolstoy's Russian peasants when, after putting in a heavy day's work strangling his father, beating his wife, and dropping the baby into the city's reservoir, he turns to the cupboards, only to find the vodka bottle empty.”

I already have every car in the game that I care to own. Having said that, here's what I do with my credits:
I buy street cars less than $1M if I like the paint color, to get the chip. Then I either give the car to a friend or sell it/get rid of it.
Even if I am not interested in the paint chip, I will sometimes buy cool cars that I already own and give them to friends, just for fun.
Generally I don't see much point owning more than one of the same car, unless the car cannot be painted, however... several times upon reaching $20M, I have purchased another X2010 just so the money I'm earning afterward won't be wasted. I hate seeing that message "You cannot have more than 20 million credits."

I agree, I think I'm at that stage. I can basically earn 20mil (easy) in less than a day.

For some deep-rooted reason, I just can't race for free lol....But it took me an unseemly amount of time to realize what those little blue discs with the check marks in them meant at the dealerships lol....Who's a dolt, raise your hand? (Puts hand back down) So for a while last year, spending was easy as I finally began the quest to get whatever I didn't have, even if I hated it (BLAST you, Vitzes of all styles and trim levels! lol). And even then, I wasn't on here last year, didn't look up strategy guides, knew nothing, so didn't realize there was such a thing as unique colors that resulted in certain vehicles being "rare" (Camaro SS, Lotus Europa {OMG how many of THOSE went to the recycler? lol I forget whether it was GT2 or 3 that made that car THE car that had to win a certain race (I remember dirt paths? wooden fences?), but I've hated it ever since lol}). So I grind Seasonals now to turn the UCD over to seek interesting colors. A lot of times when aquiring a chip a thought will immediately pop in my head "Holy cow won't a Camaro/Mustang/Challenger look great in THAT?". And when nothing good presents itself, in a last ditch effort to not race for free, I go buy a Zonda R or GT Ford GT LM Spec II. Hate that stoopid *^$% credit limit lol

For some deep-rooted reason, I just can't race for free lol....

I totally understand that - but that gets me onto another thing, the limited use I get from the DLC tracks, because I can't create my own seasonals/a-spec races which earn credits (at a pre-determined rate for the length and difficulty) I created a poll ages ago about this, which is now closed

Oh My Holy Lord...

How do you guys make it up to 20 million credits a day please .

I'm sure *some* people are earning $20M per day, and more. The quickest and easiest way is with the seasonal events. I just did a quick search and found some relevant information:

Doing the 620 PP seasonal on grand valley with a fully detuned 2J twelve times a day with 200% login bonus

Most seasonals, with a high payout, and 200% login and PP bonus mean big money. 50pp lower than limit will give 4 times the payout shown.

other recent examples I have are:
La Festa Cavallino Toscana with a detuned F40
or SuperGT with a detuned Honda HSV at Laguna Seca/Special Stage 5/Tsukuba
or Lambo seasonal with a Gallardo at Toscana with 520pp (I think I used SH, so should be able to use a lower pp easily and earn a bit more)

in most cases, I've customised the transmission, and only adjusted the top speed to suit the circuit.

I believe there is a thread specific to this in the seasonal section. Was going to add it, but DGXR beat me to it!

Since I pretty much retired from racing in GT5 I just earn credits to buy more cars that I like to look at, cruise in, or show off to friends. I'm at a point where I say I don't care about racing my cars anymore, I just buy what I like. Both standards and Premiums, just cars I either find interesting, like the design of, or ones I'm curios about how they drive/feel.

I also keep buying my favourite cars over and over to test colours on them. I have dozens of GT-Rs, Spirra, Murciélago SV, Aston Martins (I love them all!), and... well, a lot of cars a lot of times just because I like to have them.

About one year ago I thought I'd get tired of buying cars following this motto and there wouldn't be many new creations left to build, but I still buy 1-5 cars every day I play GT5, either because I have an idea what I could create out of them (mostly colour wise), or because I don't want to miss them out on the used car dealer.

Edit: Reading the OP asking what you do when your credits fill up, I usually use this opportunity to buy expensive Premium cars (an Aventador costs 400,000 each... I got over 30 of them) or save up if there's something very expensive I want. Recently after reaching level 40 the first thing I did was grind in the 2J than go and buy a white X2010, just because I always admired and wanted this car.
But usually I just keep my credits where they are and win money when I feel like doing so, with the current Seasonal payouts and over 1,700 cars in my garage it's not lke I desperately need either any more... having 15 million on the bank doesn't even feel high nowadays, because it's earned so quick and effortless.

There should be another option that says "all of the above" because that's where I'm at.

I don't like seeing the "You cannot have anymore credits" message so when I get there I buy one of the classic racecars. But I also spend most of my credits before it reaches 20 mill because I buy to get paint chips, I buy to collect and I buy a lot from the UCD/OCD. And I've started over on numerous accounts multiple times for the fun of it.

The cap doesn't bother me much because I don't reach it often enough, that's not to say that I agree with it, but that's another matter.
