How do you make an avatar that GTP's colors automatically wrap around. I have a new one and it has a border with rounded edges. I want the rounded edges without white space at the corners. Make sense?

Just take your image, lasso around the edges you want to keep. Copy the selection, create a new image. It should automatically give you the same size as your selection, and select "Transparent" at the bottom of the box. Paste your selection into the new image, save as a .gif (else you won't be able to keep the transparency) and you're done.

Hope that's helpful.

Like PR said.

You say you already have an avatar with rounded edges. Get out the magic wand and hold Shift. Click on the white spaces in the corners. Now press Shift+Ctrl+I to inverse the selection. Copy (Ctrl+C). Create a new canvas that is 100x100 and make sure you select Transparent. Paste (Ctrl+V) your selection into the new blank canvas. Save as a GIF and your done..

Okay everything works fine until I want to save it. I have to flatten it to save it as anything but a psd. and then in the drop down .gif is not one of the options. Do I have an old version of Photoshop or something?
