Cuz on all the threads people talk about getting these really fast cars to beat the beginner league, and I check up on the cars and they're 50K+. Who has that much money in a begginer league? Sure as heck aint me! <-------

So... whats your trick to making credits so easily?

Well, doing the license tests with gold can get you nice cars :)

But it ain't easy to get gold on the licenses, at least not for me.

glacierdust, all it takes is patience. For the first half of Beginner you will always feel broke. But before long you will start earning money pretty quickly. By the time I was done Beginner it wasn't a big problem anymore (then again, I'm not addicted to full-mod huge horsepower cars, either).

My first real break was running the Roadster Enduro in a stock Miata on Super Slicks. That earns you 100,000 and a shot at some nice cars. I did this pretty early on in the game (like halfway through Beginner), and spent the 100,000 building a 380 hp Evo VI GSR. Using the Evo, I beat the rest of beginner pretty much. After that Enduro, cash wasn't a huge issue any more.

glacierdustGT,

this game takes patience

unless you have a gameshark, it's really fun just to win the races and driving the cars that you know you earned

now for those gameshark people,

*runs*

Once you have built a car that's up to the task. The German championship in amatuer takes about 20 minutes to beat. Save trick for the Vertigo. In about an hour you have 1,200,000 + 177,500 for winning the championship (if you win all five races all three times).
Then every time you need big money to build up a car, you take twenty minutes to net yourself a Vertigo and prize money.
Plus, if you keep that first Vertigo, it will whoop everything in the ten-race series at the end of beginner with no mods netting 100,000 + bonus and a car.
Starting off is a bit of work, but once you have won the Miata, beaten the Miata enduro, built a nice quick Mustang, Evo, or RX-7 The game takes off and gets pretty easy.

I'll ditto the part about the Roadster Enduro. By far it's the easiest of the bunch to get into (especially since you can get a top-line Miata for free) and also the easiest to win, and it's actually a great way to brush up on your racing techniques in a racing situation. Plus the chance at winning an F1 car which can be sold for a king's ransom (if you want) is a nice incentive as well. :D

If you can win the Miata from the license test before you buy a car from the beginning you can use the cash to upgrade it. Get a stage 1 turbo, carbon driveshaft, racing muffler, racing flywheel, stage 1 weight reduction, and you'll be able to beat the cars at the Turbo Cup in Ameature league.....

i used the Shigeno and lot AE86 to buy an Evo VII not even half way through beginner (i got lucky winning the race for the S.S.). After that, i did the Super Speedway and Roadster endurance races, and i was set. you could easily run out of cash building cars for the Amateur League, but you've got the Vertigo to solve that.

Is it worth it, doing the license tests? Probably not for me cause those things tick me off... and I got bronze on all of the ones I did already. :banghead:

Some people are obsessed with it. I've only gotten gold on one or two, a handful of silver, and the rest bronze. Not worth it IMHO.

If you get all golds, I thinkl you win the Viper Concept, which is quite fast - but also available elsewhere as a prize car.

one of those people could be me lol

you can win the Viper Concept from getting all golds in the super license tests.

chk the prize list that GTP has. it may help you get the car you want

i think it's 60

i mean, just imagine the stock miatas running apricot hill w/ like 2.5 minutes for each lap

*shivers*

It's about 100 minutes to complete i think...

And i have all golds in B, A, and IB, but can't get the others

It's only forty laps and if you're running at over 1:45 a lap, you aren't ready yet.
This can be run in just over an hour with ease. *I promise*
Plus, this enduro is not won solely on speed. Pit Strategy is probably forty percent of winning.

Just over an hour? I think it was a bit longer than that...

I have just one more gold to get on the B License to get the Miata, the last one and its a pain in the left cheek for me.

Ah, that took me more than an hour to get gold on. Very annoying, B-8...
