How does the points system work?

I was just curios as to how the points system works? :) somebody was talking to me about it how they got some and was just wondering how it works and how many you need to get a ban of sorts? :) Don't worry im not planning on getting any :lol: I was just curios :)
 
I got 5 points and do not intend on getting any more... pts stay on your profile don't they?

This is the most often asked question besides people saying they got banned for no reason.
 
I am on 0 :D but my mate is on 20 :lol: I will have to talk to sense into him :lol:

Presumably within quotas of how severe the given naughty is ? :)

Yup. You can also be given warnings which are forever on your profile to you and moderators as well.

I would imagine moderators would have ultimately different tolerances than others. One may feel that something is clearly not suitable, while the other feels that it is not used in a certain context that breaches the AUP (non specific example).
Getting off the hook is great, but don't get used to it. :sly:

It's on your profile, but you'd know if you has any because you'd get a PM from the Smod involved.
