Lately there has been a proliferation of "Random" thread's that really only help newbs boost post counts.

How would you rate the quality of threads lately.

1 = Trash
10 = Brilliant

That the quality of the Rumble has fallen, and it makes for a less enjoyable experience.
 
I'd give it a 1 or 2. The topic quality has sucked hardcore lately.
 
That's the point - come in, shoot the shyte, post nonsense (inside AUP limits of course...) and just not adhere to the rules of the other forums...

Yes. But it is also what the Rumble Strip is for.

I don't give a stuff what's posted in here just so long as the fingers get a workout.

-10/10 for quality; 115/10 for crapola to talk about.
 
I actually have to say, there have been a few topics that definately have been worthy of reading lately, but in a whole Rumble Strip, I definately feel since I have been here it has progressively gotten worse. I think I would rate around a 3 now.

what do you guys want the rumble strip to be?
Quite frankly i find some threads are good and some are bad. I think there should be more funny stuff or debatable topics.
 
The fact that the Rumble Strip is struggling is partly a testament to how well the forums structure is working. See that the Comedy and Opinions forums are quite active, as are the other "topics" forums, like the Automotive and Computers & Electronics.

Because the Rumble Strip is a "catch all", it ends up with the stuff that doesn't go anywhere else. It's just that the forums structure is properly built now.
 
While the header for this section suggest random chit-chat with no general subject, there's still a line to be drawn regarding what's an acceptable discussion, and what is purely crap. Some people seem to be missing the point completely, others just don't care. Random doesn't mean lacking any sense.
