How far along would you say in a decimal would you say the tiny straight as you come out of Ex-Muhle on the nurburgring 24 hour track is? :)
map4.jpg

Just a little reference there :)
thanks for any help :)👍

No i mean how far along the track it is. So for example Aremburg is so and so miles into the track, thats what i mean, except i want the distance at the exit of Ex muhle :)

I don't know the answer specifically, but there are distance marker signs all along the track that should help you figure it out. If I had to guess I'd say it's probably 10km or so, a bit short of half-way. I suppose you need to add the distance of the GP track yourself before the first sign if you're considering that version.

IIRC there's one of those signs along the straight in question.

Am I the only one wondering why this question is being asked? Purely curiosity or is the information intended to be used for something in particular?

i needed to know for a fuel stratergy :)

No offense... but what has that little straigt to do with fuel strategy? :D But it is like 1 km long of that's the answear you were looking for ;) and its starts 10 km's after the start/finish line

What i do is burn all the fuel, put 10 litres in. And see how far i get, I got to there and wondered how far i got. Because form that i can work out how much fuel i will need exactly :)

You know, there are acceptable abbreviations for track names, and "nurbo" isn't it.

You were leaving it a bit late for your fuel strategy there mate.
5th was an excellent finish Ellis :)

Wait, Ellis... the map only counts the North course, and it's off from where you're starting for the 24h course. The GP course is 5.2km, and you ran out about 8km into the North course portion... so I'd guess about 13km... or 1.3km/litre. The track is 25.378km, so you'll be able to get about 5.1 laps per tank. (5.122)

Ellis has famously complicated fuel strategies, its kind of his thing but he has of course never run out of fuel (s******s). :)

Edit, the blanked word was another word for a sly laugh.

It works though. The only time it didn't work was when i thought i was better than my estimation and put a litre less in and ran out of fuel on the last corner, which is a credit to how accurate it can be, except human error :D

How about you get a new car with 0 miles drive up to where you wanna know the distance exit the race and check how Many miles u put on the car
