Now that i'm more or less done with a lot of the big games that have come out during the fall, i'm back to playing FM4 a lot. I checked my progress tonight and i'm 73% done with the event list. I was wondering where everyone else is on it? I know at least one person who is 100%, but they dived right into that list once they got the game and didn't stop playing until they finished it a few weeks after FM4 launched. Talk about dedication. I've just been doing a little bit here and there, and there was a period where I didn't play at all due to Skyrim and then Star Wars the Old Republic.

I wasn't really worried about the Events List, now that this thread came up lol. That being said, what's the real difference between the events list & World Tour? I already reached "Expert Series(?)" near the end of the world tour I guess & only see my pecentage in the single digits.

The World Tour just pulls races from the Event List, and it barely touches it at all. The Event List is a lot more comprehensive and longer.

Nooo wonder.. Guess I'll be paying more attention to that then, though I do enjoy the World Tour races. I haven't touched the event races yet & only got about 4 done.

It says my career completion is at 8% and that's ~70% into the 10th year.
The world tour pulls many events from the event list while it changes others and doesn't count them against the list at all. Be it cause it's a different number of laps or use of different opponents.
I had one race at laguna that was part of the championship, except one parameter was off, can't remember which. I just remember being a bit upset about checking the event list, and that championship not having a single race completed.

I noticed that too, but was compelled to finish Season Play anyway. So my progress on the Event List is lagging a bit.

I've started by buying-racing-selling cars I don't care about for their spec series (are the Punto/MiTo/Twingo/Ibiza really that important or revolutionary?) and knocking out any 1-race series I see. I'm not a fan of R-class, so I'm not quite sure I'll finish the whole thing...but without XBL Gold there's nothing else I can do with the game.

There are 290 events with over 1,100 races. I've got 227 of the events plus the world tour completed. The biggest problem is the overuse of some tracks while other tracks are hardly used at all. Hockenheim is used in 73 events but Road America is only used in 31 events.

Nearing 50% completion now. Bucket List is a mahusive undertaking.

I'm almost at 50% as well. I've been learning how to use the clutch+h-shifter by going through the Event List one car class at a time; I've only got a few races left in B. I already know, having gone through the World Tour, that it's at class A that the difficulty starts to ramp up significantly.

And yeah, the track disparity is really annoying. Through the Event List, I've run Road America only once so far, and Le Sarthe...not even once.

I finished World Tour a few months back not long after i got the game and haven't touched it since, so i think i'm still at 6.x% through Event List?

Might play it again one day but got too many other games to try finish first.

I'm at a measly 5-ish%. I started playing F4 on World Tour and Rivals. Got to the Professional season then moved to the Event List.

I'll probably work on finishing the World Tour and bits of the Event List at the same time.

I already completed the world tour. Now I'm working on the even list. I've completed 31 out of 290 series.

Agreed. I'm not worried about a lack of Road America (not a big fan of it) but the game does seem to take pleasure in repeating the tracks I dislike the most. The frequency of events at Catalunya has done nothing to improve my opinion of that sterile, rhythmless mess of asphalt...

The Nürburgring and F.K. passing challenges have been some of my favorite races so far, not because the braindead AI traffic is a joy to pass, but because they take place on a track that's actually fun to drive!

Really enjoying the event list racing now, once i realised i'd been wasting my time with World Tour mode anyway.

Liking just chipping away at the event list and so far apart from the races on the Swiss alps and Italian sea side tracks (hire driver for those) its all good.

Currently finished 1st euro block, now onto Asian block and really reaaly enjoying the racing.

Love how you can get all cars to upgrade, not as cool as shift 2 where all AI cars upgrade and upgrade visually with body kits etc, but still very cool option which is better than FM3s event list races.

Also enjoying the event list forcing me to buy cars I'd not normally choose but then being pleasantly surprised.

8/10 for event list for me. Maybe once i get to the later ones it'll go up to 9/10.

there is just so much to do with this game, as long as you love cars it'll keep you going for a long time.

I think I am somewhere around 20% or 30%, I have been chewing away at things related to A class so I am trying to do the slower classes to make it even lol. I will say the R1 class events seem to give me the most challenge. I hope to savor this Forza until the next one comes out, I love having more races in different classes to compete in. I will agree the track selections are disappointing.

Edit: Not disappointing but rather unbalanced.

I believe I'm at around 40% or so, and the Event list overall I'd give a 7/10.
Pros and cons of how they laid out Event list:

Pros:
Tons of different race series' that will keep you busy for a while.
Many different types of events to keep you interested.
Utilizes nearly every type of vehicle featured in the game.

Cons:
Distribution of track usage is pretty poor.
Large amount of short races, even in the higher classes.
Championships make you race each track twice and don't use the points structure.
-Championships should differ from the rest of the race events and use a points structure, and give you money and perhaps a car at the end of the championship in relation to where you place.
One make races should be split into their own section.

37.4%. 2 heats away from completing D championship. With that, I'll have all F, E, and D events completed and honestly, I'm FED up with the slow classes, pun intended.

I'm at about 55% done... I completed the World Tour very quickly after I got the game and it was only at 7.x% then. Completing the bucket list will still take me a loooong while! I try to do 1 or 2 races each time I play, because I mostly like to play online.

Bro tip: if you want to get the achievement for finishing a race on each track while doing the event list, make sure you finish a race on each of the following tracks first (in free play for example):

Fujimi:
- full curcuit
- full curcuit reverse
- old hill climb
- old down hill
- new hill climb
- new down hill

Top Gear
- Full circuit

Plus all drag races out there, since none of these are part of the event list.

Happy racing!

I keep hopping around when I get tired of particular classes. I think I'm hovering slightly below 40% - I have all but about 6 series left for both the European and Japanese sections, quite a lot of the American ones, and then basically random scattershot for the remaining.

I pretty much ignore the event list/ IMO the races are boring and there is no real incentive to run any of them. The AI is horrible to race against and there are far to many events there.

I liked the way the events were set up in Forza 2 better as they had prize cars that were locked until you completed the race. The way Forza 3 and 4 where set up there was no real reason to run any of them other than the few achivement points you get for completing them all which is far to few to be worth while.

I was doing that when I started Forza. Since I wasn't the best console racer, I figured I' start from the bottom and learn things along the way. It's helped a lot so far and I figured I'll just keep going this way.
Sticking with nissan and the ECO challenge are what have made this journey so far rather boring. 1,000 miles with the leaf, then all the E and D events with the 432 Z. Now moved onto the tail happy S14.

I have not played the campaign much at all so I dont imagine I am very far with the event list. In Forza 3 I think I only completed about 50% of the event playlist before Forza 4 came out. So there is no way I will ever get through the event playlist in Forza 4 before F5 comes out. Since they release one every 2 years.

Is that your progress percentage? I think mine's at 26.4%. Oddly enough, I've done most of the championship races already, so I've got a lot more ticks on the right hand side, and hardly any on the left.

I'm currently at 83.4%, I've finished all the other major columns and I'm currently working on the columns to the far right. So far I have 4 out of 9 complete.

I don't think I'm too far in mine. Having a full-time child, racing in the FRS and planning on a couple of race series events, I would be surprised if I was 20-25%.
