How Fast Can You Make That Go? [SEASON 1] There is a Tie!

Hey slash I know I'm late, my son has been very sick, but I tried to submit my time today and it said your box was full. If I get no points this round I understand.

Picking up on old ideas laying around from years past I wanted to start this up again. R4 used to run things like this, or similar.

This event will span 1 full season (4 weeks) and depending on how this goes maybe more.

In this event, you must meet the following regulations.

No car must exceed 400 horsepower. How you obtain this figure is strictly up to you.
No E-Cheating, use of hybrid cars , 3B launching or any other type of launch/run consdered to be a cheat. This tournament is intended to bring legit drag racing back to GT5.
Racing Soft tires are permitted.
Transmission, suspension, drivetrain etc are all permitted. Most of this will run on trust but it will be easy to spot cheaters when the results come in.
Weight reduction of any type is strictly prohibited.
All submissions must be PMed to me within 1 week from the starting date. Car 2 will be announced Sunday and the results of round 1 on Monday or Tuesday.



In the event of a tie, a 5th week will be added as a tie breaker and continue until there is a winner.

Winners will be 1 premium car of their choice per weak. Overall season winner will get another 2 of their choice.

Week 1:

Premium 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, normal, NOT RM.
400HP

Because of your situation I will gladly accept a submission of yours for this week, I understand and you are alright 👍

The only thing I ask is that you get it in within the next few days so the results can be finalized. You will be added in and standings will be changed when you do so. Thanks man.

They are coming give me a few, haven't had much time on GTP today.



I changed the points system. Instead of using points, each weeks winner will go onto compete in 2 more weeks at the end of the season, reducing contenders by two until there is a winner. Elimination type thing. This also helps encourage everyone to take part in order to get a shot in the wild card round. New competitors will be allowed each week.

For example:

Winners Per Week

Week 1: Slashfan
Week 2: Mich
Week 3: Swara
Week 4: cgg

Week 5 [Wild Card]: Includes all 4 names listed, these people are the only ones to take part this week.
Week 6 [Conference]: Lets say Mich won and swara was runner up, these two would now compete and whoever wins, wins the tournament.

PM's are cleared, your time was also considered invalid as you used weight reduction stage 3 and carbon hood/windows.

I see so if you win you have locked yourself a spot in. I have an Idea, everyone that placed 2nd but didn't win, gets their own wildcard. Like they compete in whatever car it is and the winner makes it to the wild Card round. So you don't have to win and it keeps more people active. And you get a 2nd chance. Its just an idea.
 
That would take too long and I would get bored keeping up on it which is why I didn't do that.

Actually I had a 11.642 submission it was partially broke in and severely detuned with lots of tq also i found certain wheels cut off .010

After I seen andrew's I thought I was good lol Could have made it much faster... Maybe limit power regulation... An Idea cause installing everything then detuning makes it much faster. I detuned 10% I think...

I don't care about that like I said. The goal is to make it fast doing whatever you can within regulations.
 
I agree, awesome results guys. Pretty tight competition overall, and I can't wait to see what next week brings. Gong to be awesome for sure.

Yeah I realized why I got such a fast time due to Mikey pointing it out. I missread the OP, sorry for the confusion.

Sweet i actually had gotten it to 11.597 with another tune(accidently deleted it) and rims but i didnt have pic so i submitted this one.
 
This round yes, but the next car you can sign up for. You still have a chance to make it to the wild card round!
