How goes the car collecting?

I'm sure there are other people here who are shooting for the "Car Collector" trophy that comes with obtaining 1,000 cars. I'm just wondering how far along you are with your collecting?
I just passed the half way point, finally.
I currently have 509 cars, 504 of them being unique (I'm collecting the FGT colors).
I was a little disappointed that for car number 500, all I got was the typical horn you get for every tenth car. I was hoping for a little teaser to urge us on to 1,000!
I am only lacking 47 Premium cars at this point. I should have them bought within the week, as I started with buying the expensive cars first.
Then all I have to finish is buy another 450 standard cars!
I also only have only 18 Standard cars remaining that cost more than 1M credits.
It's really just about grinding through the buying process more than anything else at this point, as I typically make 3M+ credits per day with B-Spec Bob.

Who else is well on their way to a full garage?
 
i am bad because every car i get i feel the need to fully modify.

an 20k car eventually costs me over 100,000. I also like driving most if not all the cars to get their max horsepower
 
Not me, if a car is a piece of 🤬 then it gets deleted, sold or given away.

I got 310 cars and they are all pretty much cars I want, like or see as having future potential.
 
I'm at ~400 cars now, all premium cars bought + standard race cars for the moment. But I'm not collecting to let them sitting duck, I run them as soon as I acquire them.
As soon as I collect all the cars I like, I'll start getting the rest.
 
got to 160 cars then sold 20 of them i will never drive or have no interest in. I already have started getting multiples of cars i like especially the 69 Z28.
 
Just as in reality there are some cars I just don't care for. I only drive what I have driven or would like to drive in reality.
 
Smoothly :) i will have my platinum before this month ends. But buying those used cars is pain in the butt. So many cash waisted just for stupid trophy. Ehhhh, the selling would be even more pain-full :ouch:. When i think about selling all those crappy cars, kill me.
 
I just hit 200 (level 30 A, 35 B) Not shooting for 1000 but maybe I'll get there someday. I buy all the race cars I see and anything else that looks cool. Collecting all the x1 colors and I will eventually collect different color Vipers.
 
Got my 1000 car trophy yesterday. I don't sell anything because I figure I can get this trophy, then sell most of it off to get the multi-millionaire trophy. I have a checklist of every car in the game and after every few races I would go check the lot to buy what I didn't own. Have a lot of doubles and triples of some cars. I've spent money on some ridiculous things, but have also picked out some gems.

P.S. All your cars do not have to be different, so technically one could buy 1000 pdi karts or something like that.

I bet most assumed this, but most of us are crazy and want to do it with not a lot of doubles. I am around 325 cars, and my doubles will be all of the RM cars without the RM and hopefully thats it.

What is killing me is the S2k's, GT-R's, RX-7's and miata's. Why so many different ones!!! :ouch:

The roommate's make fun of me because of my 15 page checklist to avoid silly duplicate cars.

I wish there was a way to select a bunch of cars for a group picture (example: all of my Spoon cars or my Camaro collection. Line them up and get a pic with all of them)

i have 250 cars at the moment. im just collecting the decent cars. for example.. im not buying the honda s800 because i have the race car model. only ford focus's ill get are the rally versions
 
i was collecting hard out till christmas but since christmas i have only brought 36 cars i was buying that a day so that makes my grand total 536 trying to save for the expensive 20 m cars is what slowing me down haven't got one yet
