How good is your other half?

My other half is fairly decent but she doesn't play often, her own profile is at level 32/18 A/B-Spec respectfully. Her car of choice is the 71 Cuda 440 Six Pack.

It's kinda funny. I'm definitely better at Gran Turismo as she rarely if ever plays. However, at Tourist Trophy she owns me, pretty much regardless of track or bike.

Sort of mirrors real life - I drive way more that she does, so I'm typically the better driver, even off road/snow/etc. But she started riding motorcycles as a kid, and I didn't learn until she taught me in college. I swear my roadcraft is better but the fact is she's still a much better rider than I am.

I suggested that the missus try the game and she agreed, great I thought. I explained to her that instead of being annoyed at me for playing GT5 all the time she should get into it herself.
It didnt last long though, I think she got bored of driving the Ferrari seasonal for me at Sarth but then again, my credit balance wasnt complaining :D

The epic Mrs Pride is a great GT5er! She struggles a bit in some areas (ie anything sounding like new burger ring) but she holds her own!

She helps with enduro's & has the odd race also so it's a good balance 👍

Useless at driving. Great for working out my pit strategies and times for endurance races.

Can she round out the trinity by being a rally co-driver?!

Ah, the dreaded rally! If I ever get around to Toscana I'll turn on the map so she can guide me. I can't tell my left from right though without stopping to think for a minute. That could cause issues.

My wife has no interest whatsoever in gaming... apart from SingStar, but I just put on Morrissey and win!

So the answer to the OP's question would be 'unknown'.

Sing along, 'Ev-er-y daaay, is liiike Sundaaay...'

I pretty much made my girlfriend try Autumn Ring Mini in the kart with my wheel, big mistake... I mean she hates games, but she got so into it I didn't get a go for about an hour. She also got really competitive and thought she had an amazing time (around 50 seconds), challenged me to beat her... My first lap was 35, my second was 30. It was not pretty.

Ah, I got to do this with my fiancee! She's been watching me play but has never tried it herself. I know she's competitive as hell and would not stop playing before beating my time. :D If only I could get her to play..

My wife tried the 1a license test where you accelerate and try to stop inside the zone. She blew through the stop zone twice and said "that is enough". Hasn't touched the game since - a bit of a shame actually because it would be nice if she would log on while I am away and buy me the DLC so that if there is a special bonus for early purchasers issued around Christmas, I would qualify.

I read a few of these to my wife and she instantly responded "I want to play!"... Now she has played before but then she quit and never has asked to play.

Well I set the wheel up (she really never used it, when she did play it was on a DS3) and she did really well!!! It took a few minutes (MUCH less than me) to get used to the wheel and her driving aids were on default (ABS 1 / TC 5 - Everything else off). She made me fight to beat her on Spa (she picked up on it FAST).... BUT when racing I always pick the inferior car. On Spa it was a detuned Mustang GT (240HP, lowered and Stage 1 lightened - meant to mimick a V6) versus a GTR R35 (she was driving this). I had to drift corners which I never do to even hang with her.... In the end, last corner on lap 4 she ate the wall and I beat her by a few tenths of a second.

I still have never felt comfortable enough to let ANYBODY play in MyGT Life and stick to Arcade with others. Too bad there is nothing left really for her to do in my game (unless she wants to run the enduros for me while I am at work... lol)

Doesn't she have her own account on the PS3? :)

Yes she does but because she doesnt play GT when I am not there I have used it as item overflow for my account... lol

She uses her account to play Little Big World (or did use it)

Heck, her account is more just a ghost because she logs into my account to watch blue rays or dvds... my account was also the Netflix service...

Lol good thread. Jen sucks at Gran Turismo, but interestingly she can destroy me at Mario Kart! I'll never get good at that wacky game. :guilty: Stuff and debris flying around everywhere. Ai driving backwards. Where are the corner workers to clean all this stuff up?

everytime I play GT5 she wants to play BLUR...

"I don't like racing games where you need to use the brake" is her comment then :odd:

I explained to her that instead of being annoyed at me for playing GT5 all the time she should get into it herself.

Yeah, that's what I told my wife, and she did have a go, and she was good enough to beat the AI, but then she lost interest rather quickly, and went back to declaring herself a GT5 widow. I've actually got a much easier time to get her to play that other racing game.

My wife does, and one of her B-Spec drivers is constantly beating the 🤬 out of mine. :ouch:
