Doing some event planing here and discovered there are only 4 tracks with Day and Night capability. I think it would be great to have that ability on ALL the tracks. So how hard would it be for PD to do that? Wouldn't you like to race under varying conditions; like day into night or rain into dry?

Tracks that can change:

Time & Weather
La Sarthe '09
Nurb 24hr
Eifel

Time Only
Nordscleife

Weather only
Monza
Suzuka
Eiger Short
High Speed Ring

Not counting the Dirt/Snow tracks 'cause rarely are they raced on.

I don't know how hard it would be for PD to do it but it would be really nice to see more than four tracks able to change the time and weather conditions.

Couldn't agree more. Imagine top gear track in the dark lol.

Oh my god yes. Imagine if they had Jeremy Clarkson assessing your driving as you went! I can see it now..

"Here comes Hammerhead, looking goo- wait! What are you doing? Don't go off the road, you bloody twit! Use your headlights! You're driving a million dollar (or pound?) car and you don't use the bloody headlights, unbelievable.."

Hahaha yes.

"He totally skipped from Chicago forward because he couldn't see, so we now have a new top time on our Power Lap board! The new Ford Focus has come around in an amazing time of 31.2 seconds!"

Lol. An endurance style race would be very intense in the dark there.

And the Stig could be everyone's pit crew. By himself.

"Some say he can orchestrate a pit stop, changing four tires, refueling, and cleaning the nose of the car..by himself..in four seconds. All we know is that he is the Stig!"

I think Trial Mountain Circuit would look B.A. at night and a bit sketchy on the last turn for sure..

Imagine the photos you could take while a fast car is in mid air after the jump on the long straight! I really want time change now..

No doubt that would make for a great picture.

I never realized how much I took time and weather change for granted!

I've never really used it because I spin out a lot in the rain, but I think I'm gonna give it another try 👍.

I'd want to see Laguna Seca with weather change. I could imagine all the people wiping out at the corkscrew. That would be fun.

Everybody voted for "All Tracks should have the option to change weather/time"

@ PD

All Tracks should have the option to change weather/time!!!

I totaly agree. I think tracks liketop gear test track and Grand Valley would look awesome at Night. Alot of tracks near water would also look great:tup:

Coté d' Azure (is that how it's spelled?) would be so much fun at night or in the rain. Imagine trying not to smash into all the walls after the swooping downhill right-hander in the rain! That would be interesting in F1 cars :scared:

LOL! 20-0-0 when I voted. You either have some weather and time changeable or none. Same with the premium and standard cars - should be all or none.

Note to PD: You need to make this change, ASAP! :)

All Tracks should have the option to change weather/time 30 100.00%
It's good the way it is 0 0%
I don't like driving in the game under wet/night conditions 0 0%

Wow, 32 people and counting think it should be possible, we need to keep this thread alive to see how many people we can get to agree!

It would be awesome If every track in the game had weather and time change capabilities. I don't think It would be that hard to do, as it basically is a copy-paste process, w/ slight modifications & changes to correspond to the track's world, and to make sure the raining/time changes behaves the same. The game's lighting & shadowing engine will handle most of the track's lighting fixtures and shadows (PD will have to locate where to have lighting, though).

But I think the time change would have some problems, as shadows, lighting, etc., had to be changed to behave realistically to the track, which results in a lot of coding & remodeling done as time progresses.

What would have to be "changed to behave realistically to the track"? Are you talking about how the car behaves on the track or what?

Yep. There's more to it, but can't really explain it. But basically, the game's graphics/lighting engine will handle most of it, so nevermind.
