I'm not doing well at all in two of my classes. I just took an AP Chemistry test and I did terribly. I nuked it. I didn't even start a 30 point problem and ran out of time. Then again, NO ONE finished it... That says a lot. I will be lucky if I get a D- ...

I also did poorly on an AP Calculus test today. I friggin hate ranges. Thank god they're over with.

until finals! :scared:

:sly: School is good for me right now. A couple of dumb****s I've gotta 'take care' of, but nonetheless, pretty good. Of course, I don't have any AP classes, which I hear are pretty damn tough. Good luck. You'll need it. :sly:

Its been good for me. This year has gone so quick. I just finished term three yesterday.
I think my grades were.

Drama - B
English - B
Maths - C(Stupid teacher only grades us for tests.:grumpy: )
P.E. - A
Science - NGP
Society and Environment - C
Tech - C

I did better this term than all the last 2.:)

My year has been alright so far, it is my first year of college and all of the high school laziness hit me like a ton of bricks the first week lol. I think I have pretty much adjusted now though.

I was expecting a lot more challenge from Grade 12, but so far it's been quite boring, and to be honest, I think that's taken me by surprise and as a result, I took a too reaxed approach over the past two weeks. So, it's time for that to change.

It's been going pretty well so far. I've got A's and B's in everything except Geometry. I've got a C in that. It would help if the teacher would atleast teach the whole friggin lesson. And she wonders why she has to walk around the class answering questions the entire classtime.

I'm becoming better friends with my classmates, which is always a good thing. 👍

ive only got one term left of school to go in my whole life, about 6-7 weeeks of it!!!

last semester i passed everything (except for maths b, failed by one mark, can you believe that!!!!), aced study of society though. i know im doing better this semester than last semester. passing everything, including maths b HURRAH!!!! after this term, a year off, then to uni, but before akll that SCHOOLIES WEEK!!!!

for those who are unawares to what schoolies week is, its more than an event. this is where all yr12 students go away, mainly to the gold coast, to celebrate the end of school by hiring an apartment and getting totally pissed for the whole week. im staying down at surfers paradise (near the indy track for those playing at home) where literally THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of yr 12 students will take over the street and party for a whole week. AAHH YEAH!!!

Things are OK but abit stressed........so much corcework in every subject plus UCAS is driving me nuts!!! :scared:

In South Australia most people go to Victor Harbour. I don't know if I'll do year 12 anyways, so I probaly wont go to either. :dopey:

This year's a bit weird for me. Here are the grades I'm expecting on my 5-week progress report:

Cross Country: A
U.S. History: A
AP Language & Composition: A–
AP Physics C: B
AP Calculus A/B: A
Spanish III: B–

Yes, my lowest grade is in a non-AP class. However, it'll be bumped right up to an A when homework gets factored in on the 10-week progress report (for some reason, my teacher only bases our 5-week on a few quiz grades).

U.S. History is a "dummy" class, so I have no problem with that.

AP Lang/Comp isn't hard, but there is a lot of homework every night (about 1–2 hours per night, and more on weekends).

AP Physics is by far my most mentally challenging class – It's mechanical and electrical engineering physics, and you're supposed to take AP Physics B before taking C (B is basic motion/kinematics type stuff), and thus you're already supposed to have a grasp of all motion physics concepts before entering C. However, I didn't take B (I'm one of only two people in that class who hasn't done so, the other being Tim [known here as Timmotheus]), so I have to learn a year's worth of that stuff as I learn other stuff in this class. Interestingly though, I'm scoring higher than many of the students who did take AP Physics B last year.

AP Calc is a walk in the park, especially since I already learned all the Calc A concepts last year. My teacher requires that we use Cornell Notes for that class though, which annoys me to no end. She also assigns a lot of homework.

And Spanish III has very difficult tests/quizzes, but not very much homework, which is nice.

So, homework's really bogging me down (I've had to go with less than 3 hours of sleep on one occasion already), but the classes themselves aren't too terrible.

It sucks for me. Well, not all bad. It's never all bad. I just don't like it. I'm in my senoir year and I'm probably sucking. I don't ask for my grades, I just wait for the dissapointment.

My worst class is Algebra 2. You might say "Alg. 2?! What the hell is wrong with you, you're supposed to take Alg. 2 with trig your junoir year!!" Well, I flunked both semesters last year of Alg. 2 with trig because I didn't like the teacher and the way homework was graded. It was graded on how much work you showed. I had all the problems right, but because I didn't write out the problems the way she wanted, she'd give me barely any points. So I decided to take Alg. 2 just to get the needed credit for graduation. Well, with Alg. 2 comes dumb kids. Actually, there's the smarter kids that just flunked Alg. 2 with trig, and then there's the dumb kids that just barely make it into Alg. 2 at all. So in my class there's 2 friends and the rest are mediocre people who call eachother names and are immature. I don't like it.
On the up-side, I'm taking Web Design and am ahead of the class(thus, if you see posts by me on weekdays from 9:30 to 11 in the morning, you know where I am), leaving plenty of time for the net. I fly through the lessons with ease, and even answer other people's questions on how to do stuff. The ideal environment.
Basically, this is my schedual and my opinion of the class:
A-day:
Photo II - Awsome
Web Design - Awsome
Crime and Law - Cool
English IV-A - meh...but I'm reading the Jack Yamaguchi RX-8 book as my SSR, and that's awsome because everyone else is reading novels.
B-Day:
Marketing 1 - Interesting
Lab - what can I say? An hr and a half to get work done or sleep...
Japanese II - Yeah, it rules. I can now read Mazda's Japanese sites.
Alg. 2 - Sucks.

I'd say this is the first time I've ever enjoyed school. It's too bad every one of my teachers has a foreign accent.

Everytime I've done poorly in a class, it's been my fault. How do you people end up with these teachers who hate you for no reason and give you bad grades for no reason?

I'm baffled.

I'm with you on that one, Klos. This year is quite fun. With me having all the fun classes, and all my friends are in all my classes.:)

I'm glad that you can realize this Jimmy. What the others don't understand is that it is their fault that thier teachers give them poor grades. they give them poor grades because they deserve them.

The first sign of a weak mind is trying to blame someone else for thier own downfalls.

I'm doing good in all my classes so far, but my Spanish II teacher expects us to memorize about a hundered vocab words every week or two. Last year, our Spanish teacher didn't get through the whole textbook, and it left many of us behind.

Not so good... to make a long story short my retard of a teacher waited til the last min. so I couldn't add a class but now I can't take it... oh well, now I have mon and wed free and I don't have to see that retard. damn.

Even though I was technically a junior transferee... I still had to take MORE GE... oh what fun... so I get to go back to elementary school and take a writing class that's required by all majors. :dopey: what's a noun? My third class I have, don't really go to because I'm always trying to catch up in the other classes.

The last one, pssft... I'm screwed. we are narrowing down to 5 concepts and then eventually to the one we will work on til the end of the semester. Prior to the 5 concepts we are suppose to have about 200 concept and that's a minimum number. :dopey:👍

w00t for schoolies! Cant wait, I found out im now going, but Im going to the Sunshine coast - the place where kids are sent instead of the Gold coast because their mothers are worried about them getting stabbed, well...my mum anyway... :grumpy:

school is going pretty awesomely this year. I have no classes that I really hate. And I am with my friends in all my classes. Friday was the end of the first six weeks. Our school groups it into 6 week periods and I only have 5 more to go! :) It will go by faster this year. but i gots to take the PSATs later on this year. (dammit!)

AP Stats is going well, I've got a 92 in the class thus far. AP Calc is also going very well, just aced a test last week. Advanced English 11 is kinda hard, but we've got a good teacher, and I think I've got an A. In Italian II we're going really fast, but I like it and am happy with an A.

Spanish ~ Doing well, I guess, first year in Spanish.
English ~ Doing better than expected, fairly fun.
Science~ Hardest teacher in school, but doing well.
Math~ Enjoying it for the first time, I have reason to believe I did very well on my first test of the year.
Wood/Tech~ Trying to get out of it.
Socials~ Doing well, not as well as I should.
P.E.~ Doing very very well.
Information Technology~ Somewhere around 90-100%.

That sums it up.

Well at the start of the year I was doing terribly. Late Homework; unfinished homework; bad test percentages. But recently I have been getting my self out of a hole i've dug. I've gotten 4 straight 90 percentiles! And right now I'm doing homework.:grumpy: I have no life when school comes along.

Started Uni classes about three weeks ago. First year, living on campus, and it's so completely different from high school. In a good way.

The only thing is that I haven't been hit by a wall of homework, nor have I found any of my classes really challenging. In fact, I walked out of my IT lecture on Thursday midway through because he was reviewing binary. Besides, it was Pub Night ;). I'm still more focused on school work now than in high school though, because it's my money on the line. The bonus is that most of my classes weigh my exam mark heavily. That's excellent, because I normally ace tests/exams, but slack off on assignments. With only three or four assignments all year, I can focus on those, get good marks, and still ace tests. Hooray.
