How long are all the updates supposed to take to install?

I got a new PS3 and I already downloaded and installed all the updates, now I'm at the screen where it says Installing... and says how many minutes are left. How long does that take? Last night I tried doing it, it was stuck in the same spot for about 3 hours.
 
Downloading the update varies by the speed of your internet connection. Installing took about 45-60 minutes for me.
 
Yes your Internet connection speed will affect the time it takes. Also don't forget about the SIZE of the update. Obviously, a bigger update means more time to install too.

Dude...i finally broke down and bought this game, was hoping they would go to ps4 but I bought it yesterday. From noon ...till like ten at nite is when everything finished. And I have like 15mbps down....it was slow as ****. Granted I didnt like just sit there...I was watchin college football games on tv and using the net for that but still....craziness. Installed fine tho...just let it sit and do its thing.

Mine sat at that install part for like two hours at least...there were times it said like 500 plus minutes to complete....insane.
 
Playstation support told me to REINSTALL gt6 because I had problems with credits bought with hard currency and it took me about 2 hours for updates to download and another 2 hours for the installation to be completed.... I think gt6 is 16gb all in all

Wow damn, mine didn't even install before, it kept saying installation failed, no matter how much time I gave it, it would fail.
 
3 hour install for me. I've been playing GTA5 OL all this time so I waited awhile before purchasing the game.
 
I recently had to start over my gt6 i messed up the transfer when I got a new ps3. I had to up everything up to 1.12 . It was over 20gb. 12 hours later it finished. It helps if you don't pay attention to the estimated time. That's torture haha
