How long for moderation?

G'day Guys,

Just wondering what the time (or post) limit is for newbies being on moderation?

It's just that, after you have checked my posts, they get added to the forums at the time I originally submitted them, which is puting them back a page or two by the time they show up.

Given the high turn-over of posts with the impending trading lock-down, I'd really like to get my requests to people asap if possible, so someone can at least see them before it's too late.

Thanks for any help or advice.

Cheers,
Amateur1.

Hey Amateur1

Welcome to the site 👍

I can understand where you are coming from - that by the time a post is approved, it can be 'out of date' and a few pages back. The time it takes is a function of luck - how many other items there are requiring moderation as well as the number of people around to do it.

It just requires a bit of patience, but if its a legit post, it will turn up.

The exact time it takes for a post to be approved depends on a lot of things. We get up to five hundred new posts per day here, so it realy depends on the size of the moderation queue, who is online, what (if anything) is happening elsewhere in the forums that might demand attention before the queue, and what is going on in the lives of the moderators outside the forums (ie don't expect to get your post approved straigth away if it's 3am local time for the only moderators online).

G'day Interludes.

Sorry, I wasn't meaning to criticize the time it took to moderate my posts (I appreciate that people have lives). More how long I could expect to be on moderation?

Cheers,
Amateur1

Is there a certain number of posts or time before I'm taken off moderation?
Only your first post (and any additional posts you make before the first one is approved) must go through the approval process. After that you'll be free to post at will.
