Sorry if this sounds idotic, but I have 93% GT3 and so far about 26% done with GT4 and I have no clue how long a day of Gt4 translates into real time. It would be funny to know how many hours of my life have been spent between these two games. I think I need to seek help or something, but I guess none of would be here if we weren't all a little crazy. Thanks in advance for the help :)

If I'm not mistaken one race equals one day in Gran Turismo. So if you passed 1000 days, it just means you made 1000 races (and licenses and stuff), so there's no comparison to real time.

I know that on GT3 if you went in and out of the 0-400 m and 0-1000m sections it would count each individual section as a day, even though you only stayed there a few minutes (or even less than one minute). So if you went in and out of the 4-400m accel 60 times within one hours you would elapse 60 game days, which is completely unrealistic. It may be the same way on GT4. Now, when you race in New York, and then afterwards go race in Hong Kong, it's realistic to elapse at least one day between races, although if you are running the same car that would be pushing it. The game days give only a superficial way of counting the time elapsed. I wish they had a counter that showed how much time in hours one actually spends racing...

Check out your diary in HOME. You'll know exactly how long one day is.

Of Course:
Completeing a race takes a day.

But....
Buying a set of wheels takes a day.
Watching a race preview takes a day.
Coming back and trying to GOLD a license after you got a silver and walked onto another test also takes a day. Even if still only get another silver.
