How long, in terms of km, are the endurance tracks? I don't know the names so if someone could list them with their length (km in one full lap) that would be great.

I'm just worried that these tracks are going to be quite small and I'll get bored of them after doing like 10 laps. I was told one track is 15km long, is this true?

Yes, the Nurburgring is in excess of 20km long. And La Sarthe is 13km. The rest of the endurance races are at circuits like Suzuka, Grand Valley and Laguna Seca, so they come in at about 4-5km long each. Tsukuba is the shortest circuit with an endurance race, at about 2 or 3km.

nurburgring is 20km long. my favorite track of the game.

I can totally understand why people love this track, but i for one hate it, and cringe when i have to race there on the license tests

Its just one of those tracks that i feel i will never learn. :indiff:

And that's the point. There's maybe one person in the world who I can think of who knows the circuit with the kind of familiarity that you'd have with somewhere like Spa or Suzuka - Sabine Schmitz, one of the 'Ring-taxi drivers. She reckons she's done about ten thousand laps of the circuit in her life. There was actually a really great Top Gear segment where Jeremy Clarkson tried to do a lap of the Nurburgring in a diesel-powered Jaguar in under ten minutes, and while he made it, Schmitz wasn't too impressed. She then bet him that she could beat his time in a Ford Transit ... and she did.

No she did not. She came a handfull of seconds short...

As I recall that segment, Clarkson got a 9'59 in said Jaguar, while Schmitz got around a 9'15 in the same car. One way or another, she 1-up'd Clarkson in some way.

And Nurburgring isn't as hard as you might think. Just take your time and after you drive it enough, you'll begin to remember where everything is. Just don't try to remember it all at once - remember it in pieces based on where you are, like the AMG Driving School does with you.

Wikipedia:

After telling Jeremy Clarkson that she could do his lap time in a van, she was set the same challenge as Clarkson, but in a Ford Transit. After a few attempts, she found this was impossible, so she had to strip some weight out of the van and have a Dodge Viper drive in front of it for slipstream. Vehicle had several parts removed and a draft vehicle in front of it (a Dodge Viper) for the 10:08 lap time. Top Gear Series 6, Episode 7. Originally aired 10 July 2005

Nurburgring might seem daunting with all the blind corners and elevation changes in the beginning, but once you have some memory of the track and know the corners well, it is seriously the funnest track you will ever race on in real life and virtually. 👍
