Anyone know how long it should take to get areply from Fanatec (e-support@fanatec.com )? I sent in a support request but have heard nothing back except the preverbial Generic "We have recieved you request" and nothing since untill this morning this same Generic resonce was in my email again. I have not sent them anothe request per thire instructions so I have no idea why this came through. I am with out my wheel for to long not to get some kind of help. I have spent a crapp load of money with them over the last few months and this i the thanks I get. Any ideas, am I using the right email address? I am so frustrated that I am ready to cancel my GT2 order and also send back the CSP'S ,tunning kit, color kit CS Paddles along with every thing else I just recently bought. Well if I am not out of return window that is. My PWTS is dead. Yes I have my T500RS but decided I actually liked the Fanatec wheel better and is why I went ahead and orderd the GT2. Now I am up in the air because if support is non existant then who cares how good the product is if you are on your own.

You have a thread as to why your turbo s wheel has stopped working. And theres nothing there about it and you say you have a t500rs. So why would you be using a turbo s wheel and not a t500? i honestly think your lying about saying you have a t500

What? are you an idiot? Not that I need to answer to what is obviously a moron, I bought the t500 rs for same reason anybody does. To see if I like it better, Duh!! I have a thread about wheel issues if you had cared to look. Why not offer some solutions instead of being an asshole.

Why do you have to be so impolite.
All im saying is why somebody would like a turbo s better than a t500. The g27 is better than a turbo s anx the t500 is better than the g27.

How long ago did you submit the support request? Thomas (CEO Fanatec) hangs around these forums and often steps in to take care of his customers. They have acknowledged they have a customer support problem and are taking steps to address it. In the meantime if you need to contact him directly his username on GTPlanet is "Fanatec..."

Hi, Its been around 4 days I believe. All thoe I must say I may have made a mistake in my first attempt, can't say for sure. I know that I got it right last time as I got the address from another member on a different forum that had had success. I like the T500RS ok and all, I just prefer my TurboS. I haven't been able to use the CSP's yet either since my wheel finaly quit for good the very day they came in so it's even more of a frustration. Thanks for your input.

Jeff

Hang in there. The CSPs are fantastic and well worth whatever waiting proves necessary. Be forewarned, you will probably decide to spring for the CSP tuning kit too. Not that it's necessary but once you realize how good these pedals are you'll likely want to really fine tune them to your preferences.

Oh and if you don't already have F1 2010 get a copy. Your hardware plus that game is a killer combo. Hit me up for wheel settings if you do get it.

The G27 being better then the turbo s is a matter of opinion, and so is the t500 being better then the turbo s wheel or G27. And as far as the t500 goes, you can only play one console game on it. Maybe he wants to play shift 2, and it doesn't work on the t500 wheel.

Finaly got a reply from Alexander from Fanatec this morning. He wanted me to try things that I already had tried and had said as much in my first email to them. Anyway atleast someone is aware and maybe I am on the road to recovery. Shew!! Had no idea how addicted to Sim Racing I an my family are.

pgagoober: Yea, I'd say they will be great as they look fantastic and the build quality is even better than the T500RS atleast as far as I can see from exterior. I bought the color kit and have put them on. I did opt to get the tunning kit but of course I cannot comment since I have not even used the pedals as of yet. I really like the T500RS pedals but the CSP's just look like they had someone paying alot of atttention to detail. I can't wait to finaly use them after all I have read about them.

powellx235: Exactly, while I do infact like my T500RS I do want to play other games and on other consoles as well. I had to get one to see how it faired and all and still agree its a great wheel. If I had to pick one it would be Fanatec thoe since it can be on 3 different platforms and before it tore up and when it was working right (since it had issues from time to time even when it was so called working right) I loved it. Had it not had the issues it had I probably would not have even tried the T500RS in the first place. This is all anyones opinion and we all have them. There is no right or wrong it is just what one like individually. All these wheels are great wheels. I never understand when someone gets all tore up if someone else says that like something other than what that individuall has or likes. Time to grow up I suppose.

How come you can't call them directly in Germany? They most likely speak English. Reading about these problems with Fanatec support really gets me down cause I spent a lot of money ordering that superb looking GT2 wheel for Forza 3/4, GT5, etc.

However these customer support issues sound beyond ridiculous. I'm so close to just say screw it and go with a ps3/pc only wheel and just keep playing forza with a controller. The vast 95% of xbox users are surely using a joystick anyway cause Fanatec is the only decent wheel for that platform period. And only 10k Turbo S wheels shipped.... Anyway, Fanatec/Thomas, fix this guy issue please cause your future customers are probably getting beyond terrified reading thread like this

Interesting to read such an opinion. Yeah like you I own all the platforms (ps3/xbox/PC) so yeah the fanatec gt2 is an unresistable temptation. esp since I'm getting into this sim racing thing at a late juncture so only new wheels to choose from on xbox is mad catz mc2 & fanatec gt2. so naturally I'd rather have a gt2 by a long mile.

Hope everything works out for ya!
